Think. YOU are investing in a filtered water system to protect yourself or your family. Having a supply of new filters guarantees that you will continue to have filtered drinking water continuously. Purchasing the 16 pack is more economical by lowering the price of each filter and also reduces shipping and packaging waste from the environment. I have used the zero water filters for multiple years and do not regret the cost verses very good tasting and safe drinking and cooking water.

The filters have been greatly improve the taste of our water. I like using the zero water system so much better than purchasing bottle water and having all the plastic waste.

We are a family of four. These filters only last us for three weeks. I wish they were either designed to last longer or they were cheaper.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. Due to the amount of variables involved we try and stay away from using time to determine filter life, instead we use gallons, a more constant form of measurement. Filter life is based solely off of the quality of the water being filtered. The higher the tap water is in dissolved solids the shorter the filter life will be.

We love our zero water pitcher. For over 25 years I had well water and for 5 years spring water, when I came back home to take care of my mother all I could taste and smell in this water was the chlorine in the water, and my ZeroWater pitcher completely removed it .

When newly installed, water gets stuck and won't flow through the filter. On my own, I figured out to take out the filter, shake it, and then reinstall it. You do this when you see the water does not go completely into the container. For example, fill the reservoir and wait 10 minutes. If you see some water has flowed from the reservoir through the filter to the container, wait another 10 minutes. If no more water flowed to the container, shake the filter and try again. I have waited half a day to make sure it is not just that the water is flowing very slowly. It stops flowing. But shaking gets the water flowing. After a few fill shake fill cycles, you no longer need to shake the filter.
An alternative to providing instructions to shake the filter is for ZeroWater to develop a filter that works just as well but does not require shaking.
In any case, ZeroWater's filter is the best. I know of no other company that provides a tester so that you can see for yourself that it is working and can compare it with other filters and water straight from the tap. So, it is certainly worth the trouble of shaking the filter for the first few cycles on changing the filter.

Have found it useful, but now finding myself priced out of Zerowater. If you live in an area like I do in California, a small household can run through a filter in less than week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short.
