I have chronic kidney disease and heavy alkaline in the water, along with the chemicals to break down hard water hard water, I needed something I could trust that would help my kidneys by eliminating the elements that were hurting them. I started using zero water filters over 15 years ago. I have sworn by them ever since. I can live anywhere and get great water right out of my dispenser. That was the best decision I made for my health and my family members that use the water.

The quality of the filters has eroded. I used to be able to replace a filter with ease. Now, it is extremely difficult to get a tight seal. Water leaks around the seal, which defeats the purpose. I am very disappointed that changing the filter causes me to strain myself and waste a lot of water before a satisfactory seal is made. Sorry I purchased so many filters.

DEFECTIVE

I have written to Zero Water about my experience and did not hear anything. We have been buying Zero Water products for well over a decade now. However, these past couple of purchases have failed miserably. We buy in bulk to stock up (we AND the rescue kitties all drink filtered water, which adds up), and the filters we just opened do not work. The water just sits in the reservoir and drips through, if at all. We are now on our 6th one out of the pack, and it failed just like the others. We bought another package through another retailer, hoping it would help, and those failed too. I haven't had ANY response from Zero Water, so I'm here to write this review and warn everyone of the failure. Obviously there are some quality control issues at play, and they are not willing to stand by their product. If we still hear nothing, we are tossing everything and starting over with an in-line filtration system. Very ridiculous to be so loyal to a brand and have them not even respond.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. From time to time the filter can develop an air lock, some little air pockets or air bubbles that get trapped down inside the filter. Typically this is an easy and quick fix, simply remove the filter from the container and unscrew it from the tray. Then hold the filter sideways/horizontal and grip the filter very tightly and shake the filter with some good force side to side and back and forth 8 to 10 times. This will loosen the filter media and break the air lock.

I started to notice that I should replace them too often so I decided to count how much water can go through one filter. In 13 gallons water become sour like it happened with all previous filters. It tastes bitter and sour after so short usage

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. Some of our customers have used other, traditional filtration systems such as a Culligan Whole House Filter to treat the water prior to filtering through a Zero Water filter, in many cases that will cut the TDS level down enough to make the use of Zero Water more economical. There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short.

Used to Love Product, but Not Customer Friendly

Very disappointed to find out that bulk purchase price will not be given when customer requests purchase of multiple smaller packs due to company's out-of-stock issues. By not honoring the bulk price when consumers can only purchase multiple small packs, you have made your product unaffordable for families. Back to water cooler / bottled water service for us...and likely better for the environment since less replacement filter/plastic waste.

Tested TDS on tap water it about 108, filter worked 1 week then water is out of the filter has bad flavor. The Zerowater TDS is in the 280 area so makes the tap water worse.

Filters are too expensive and don't last longer than two weeks.
