Defective Filter
on July 19, 2020

I have been using zero water filters for almost a year. Recently I received couple new filters that did not filter single cup of water after replacing the old filter. Filters are on expensive side and it was such a disappointment to throw away brand new filters due to receiving defective product. I don’t see zero water producing quality product during this pandemic.

I want to like it...but

I bought a 30cup about several months ago and waited and waited because of coronavirus to get it (which is understandable), however I finally got it and the water tastes great. The problem is the filters do not last long at all. I understand it has to do with how much you use it and how “dirty” your water is. Our water isn’t that bad and we don’t use the zerowater all that much and the filters last less than a month. On average 2-3 weeks. Very disappointing

We bought this product when we were force to move to a hotel due to a health hazard in our rental. We were going through quite a few of filters until we purchase a house and added a RO unit to our faucet, not we go through them 1 every 6 months. Love the taste of the water better than the RO.

Living in very high TDS area (780) we found that filling our 30 cup ZeroWater with Reverse Osmosis water that tests 30 TDS the ZeroWater filter lasts a very long time like more than 9 months which is exceptional. RO water tastes fine but ZeroWater tastes even better. The filter has a cumulative TDS life meaning high TDS water = shorter filter life and low TDS= longer filter life.We just wish ZeroWater made a filter we could put on our refrigerator water and ice maker. We also wish they made a larger container (3 or 5 gallon) with an automatic fill with a float valve so we wouldn't have to manually fill our container. Make it more convenient and automated.

Just opened a new filter for our 30 cup water pitcher filled up pitcher and tested water it read 006 1 time use supposed to change at this reading. It also tastes like lemon water. For the price of these filters this is very disappointing should first use not read 000 it is zero water!

I’ve been using the zero filter for a bit now, the first one read zero, i changed my filter to a new one at a 6 reading, and the reading is 3 already. In 3 separate containers that I caught the steam it read 3. Straight from the filter stream is where I caught the water into each container.

Great Tasting Water

I purchased the ZW and extra filters before I ever tried the system. My tap water tastes funky so I figured I would try ZW. The ZW states to replace the filter once the meter reads 006. The New Filter never got below a 006 and now (after 1 week) reads 044. Considering I was drinking the tap water, this is still better than the +300 straight from the tap
<<<<<<but the TDS meter NEVER reached ZERO>>>>>

I guess it filters everything out very well but the filters are expensive they are not recyclable and they only last for about 10 days also they sometimes don’t properly filter the water

We have a recycling program available at zerowater.com. Due to the amount of variables involved we try and stay away from using time to determine filter life, instead we use gallons, a more constant form of measurement. Filter life is based solely off of the quality of the water being filtered. The higher the tap water is in dissolved solids the shorter the filter life will be. From time to time, a filter may develop an air bubble or air pocket. Carefully lift the reservoir, grip the body of the filter at its mid-section and give the filter 4-5 squeezes while there is water filtering through. This will return the flow back to its normal state.
