They work great, much better than other options out there.

Microplastic removal doesn't look good

I've been using ZeroWater for the past 5 years. Overall, I've been pleased, but recently upon learning that the product may be ADDING large amounts of microplastics to the filtered water, I became concerned. These one of the most expensive water filters you can buy because they work really well. However, the micoplastic problem makes them a no go for me and my family. How is it that a product that makes near distilled quality water add microplastics to the water? Straight tap water doesn't have this much microplastic. Doesn't make any sense. My guess is that some of the filtering materials is shedding.

Thank you for reaching out. We are aware of a recent article in Consumer Reports that states we add microplastics after filtration. We tested our filter with a third party in 2020 for this claim and the results confirmed that our filter does not do what is stated in this article. We continue to test our product to meet NSF standards, and are in the midst of additional testing with 3rdparty labs to confirm once more that we do not add microplastics post filtration. We would be happy to share when they are available. In addition, we will be reaching out to Consumer Reports to understand their process and ensure that accurate information is being shared about ZeroWater. We value all customer input, and please let us know if we can assist in any other way.

Bought the large pack because these are so expensive and the volume discount helps a bit. Downside is that the rebate program is not helpful if you buy so many at once. Get same recycling rebate for a much smaller order so there is little $ incentive to ship such a large quantity back for recycling. Please fix the recycling program to better serve customers who buy this larger quantity.

Thank you for your feedback on our recycling program. I have forwarded your email to our marketing department that oversees recycling. In the meantime ZeroWater filters are made from #5 plastic and are accepted by most recycling companies.

We’ve been using Zero Water for a few years. Recently, I change the filter and it’s all 0. Then, 2 or 4 weeks later the water from it has an unacceptable odor per my wife and I have to change it again. Our tap water is around 160 - 180

Quality notably declining

I've used these filters for 6-8 years, they used to be so good. But for the past year or so, every time I get them, they last for shorter and shorter time. They discontinued the twist off cap for a soft plastic, which started out ok but they have also gotten worse. The latest batch that I purchased leaves glue and plastic residue all over the top. Just very frustrating, it's pushed me to make the leap to a under-sink filter instead of using these.
