This is the second otter box pop socket case I’ve bought for 2 different phones. I loved the one for my old phone but my current one makes it so the increase sound button on my iPhone is incredibly hard to press. The rest of the buttons work fine. I ended up just getting another case instead from another manufacturer instead and this case is sitting in my drawer. It definitely protects the phone but I need to be able to adjust the volume.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had a pop socket case for my iPhone 7plus that worked perfectly with the car mount. The case for my iPhone 12 will not stay mounted on it. The case itself is great but I feel like the pop socket part is defective.

I bought this case a month ago and it was a wise choice. I was skeptical about the Polar Vortex color, but interchanging the ‘Popsockets’ gives me the option of adding a different pop of color when my mood changes.

I was hesitant to get an iPhone 12 because I loved the Otter + Pop Symmetry series case on my iPhone 7. When I discovered OtterBox made the same one for the iPhone 12, I ordered it, along with a new phone. I feel very confident that the phone is protected -- which really is the number one priority - and I love that the pop socket is almost flush with the back. Those are the main reasons I bought it again. But, I can't help being disappointed overall, with this version. It's *really* difficult to get on and off. The volume up button is stiff as if it's not placed quite right. And I can see a sliver of metal in the notch at the top which gives the appearance of the phone not being in all the way. I knew going in that it wouldn't work with the wireless chargers, so I won't knock it for that. But ... given that and the other issues, I'm a "meh" on this one.

As for Qi charging, while that case is compatible with it, we do suggest removing the PopTop to improve charging functionality. Not as good as previous versions

This is my third pop+otter case. The first two for my X and 11 Pro were great. This one is not as good.
The case is extremely hard to get off once it’s on. I almost feel like I’m going to bend my phone trying to get it out.
But the biggest issue for me is that I prefer to charge with a cable and the case doesn’t allow the new usb-c to lightning fast charge cable to connect. The housing on this cable is slightly larger than the housing on the usb-a to lightning cables. I had to literally bend the rubber around the housing to even get it in the hole and I can feel the case pushing back against it. That’s going to eventually deform the case along the bottom edge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
