This is my third otter case. However, with this time, IPhone 12 max, I am unable to charge NFC, or any wireless chargers. I am back to plugging in the lightning plug.

I’ve been a big fan of OtterBox for a while always using the defender but with such a big phone now I wanted something not as bulky and I must say this is my favorite case I’ve ever owned so far. Not bulky but still very protective. It has a nice large lip to protect the screen and the back camera. I’m a big fan of the new iPhone squareish feel and this case still provides that feel. Overall will continue with this style case going forward.

I have used this case for years on all of my iPhones and was glad to see Otterbox came out with a MagSafe version. I am really disappointed with this version as the MagSafe does not work. The MagSafe charger doesn’t locate the charging spot and you have to search the phone back to connect.

While that case is compatible with Qi charging pads, it is not designed for optimal functionality with MagSafe accessories. Keep in mind, this case will perform best with OtterBox branded wireless chargers. That being said, we have a sizable lineup of OtterBox cases that we designed specifically to interact with Apple's MagSafe ecosystem and that have been through our full gauntlet of tests to ensure they will still offer the protection OtterBox is known for.
