I got this and in less than 2 weeks , it’s super dirty . I put my case in my jeans pockets and the first day I pulled it out , my phone case was blue. I’ve had other brands and wore the same jeans and nothing this otter box did not hold color .

This is my second Otterbox, as I got a new phone of a different size. Loved the first one, love the second one. It is strong, easy to put on my phone, it protects my phone even if I drop it. It is also very attractive.

Its been a couple of months

I got this request to review the product within a week of owning it. You need time to use a product like this.
Over time you will put your phone on a counter, table or desk and knock it off. This may or may not happen in the first week or two of owning a new product.
Well I've knocked it off a few things. Had it slip out of a pocket and fall to the ground, I forgot to zip the pocket closed, got it wedged in a cup holder etc.
It's been exposed to cooking, butter, flour, oil, sauces, etc. some hot, some cold.
It's held up quite well. No visible damage to either the phone or the cover.
Before Covid I would clean it sporadically. Now it gets regularly cleaned with an alcohol aerosol spray.
I wish it had come with a screen protector. Sigh.

I have bought the commuter case a couple times now and it has always protected my iPhone very well. I have never had a cracked screen or really any damage to my iPhone while it’s on. So naturally I bought another one when I upgraded to the iPhone 12. Not the happiest with the commuter case this time - it still has the same amount of protection as always before, but now it is definitely thicker and I have to be more intentional when pushing the volume buttons and the other side button. It also comes with a cover over the charge insertion, which I understand works to keep dirt out, but it’s actually irritating to have to finagle out of the way every time I want to charge my phone. Also discovered it didn’t allow the “magnetized “feature on the new iPhone to work properly. And that is my fault as I noticed that was the case when I bought The commuter this time, I was just ignorant to what that actually meant, so that is honestly my fault. Overall it’s definitely a great case to keep your iPhone and screen protected. I just will be on the lookout for same level of protection with a less thick case.
