This is my second Otter and as before, I am totally pleased. The first one was 6 years old and intact when I changed phones. Having a pop out to change is a great inexpensive way to add variety.
It is a great case it looks wonderful and the socket props it up 95% of the time the way that I like it. But you got to remove it to use a Qi charging stand/pad. It is easy to remove and it’s well-made. It is a little step of extra work to put it back on but it’s worth it to have all of these factors in one case.
This is a nice case the pop socket works fine and the case has a nice feel to it. It is much stiffer than other Otter Box cases I have purchased over the years. The thing that wasn’t clear to me is that this case does not allow for wireless charging. That combined with the stiffness of the case making it nearly impossible to remove from your phone makes my wireless charging stations useless. If I had known that this case did not work with wireless charging, I would have never purchased it.
That combined with the previous Otter Box case I purchased when the iPhone 12 Pro Max was first released practically disintegrating in my hands in less than a year makes think it might be time to move on from spending so much on Otter Box cases. They just don’t seem to be up to the standards that they once were, so why pay extra for sub standard performance or features?
