Excellent sound quality and low bass however surround and atmos performance are not very impressive as it does not have up firing speakers. It produces virtual atmos on a 3.1 speaker system. I also have Cinema 600. In comparison to Cinema 600, it is a big upgrade. It has an HDMI eARC but on the HDMI port it only says HDMI ARC so I was confused that it has HDMI eARC or just HDMI ARC port. Other than that there are some pros and cons to Cinema 800 but overall performance super seeds the cons.
Pros: - 3 HDMI ports including one eARC. - Amazon Alexa - Google Chromecast - 8K Pass Through - Excellent sound and punching low bass - Improved app features as compare to Cinema 600 with equalizer and many other options which is not available for Cinema 600. - LED Display on Soundbar
Cons: - No AirPlay feature - Poor Bluetooth range and connectivity - Poor iOS / Android app (crash and disconnects frequently)
This sound bar has good sound, but not great quality bass from the sub. The bass is very present, but not as nuanced as I might like. While I would like some improvements, to do better with discreet components would end up costing more than double the revised pricing, so the value and performance per price are still good, as long as your expectations are realistic.
So far I am very pleased with the sound quality of this unit. Installed was very easy and it was nice that I was able to use the same mounting holes as my Cinema 600 sound bar!!
