I will hold off on a full review until the supposedly promised App updates that will include EQ. Until then, here is my brief thoughts after about a week of use:
NOTE: I added the Surround 3 speakers after the purchase so this will be based on the full 5.1 setup.
I’m upgrading from a Sony 3.1 setup that I was OK with but the wireless failed and the connection to the Sub stopped working properly. The build quality is excellent like most Klipsch products. So, the audio, the first thing I noticed is the very V shaped tuning which makes Bass very rumbly and treble very tinny…almost siblant at high volume and very recessed mids. For me, the potential dealbreaker is how hollow and weak dialogue is…it doesn’t matter what source (AppleTV, PS5, DirecTV). My TV speakers (LG OLED E7P) has much more balanced mid range sounding dialogue that has girth and resonance. The 800 just doesn’t sound very natural to my ears and without the surround speakers I just don’t feel like it is worth the price.
Now, if the App is updated end of Aug, as promised, to include EQ so that I can dial the mids back up (better crossover of mid-bass from the sub?) I think it will be worth the price of entry. If not I’ll have to pay up extra for the Samsung 950A and get the upfiring speakers as well as the much improved dialogue from demos I have heard.

Nothing but problems

From the second it was hooked up I had nothing but problems. Once connected I had issues with sound delay and poor sound quality. After many hours and reading message boards I decided to replace the hdmi that came with it, and the sound and delay issue was resolved.I then purchased a set of surround 3 speakers and they would not sync. Reset the sound bar and after fooling around for 2 hours I got them to work but then the left surround had static. After hours again resetting, moving swapping sides I got 3 separate replacement speakers before I got one to not have static. That finally got the surround working.Now I woke up today and the sound bar had no sound and no display. So I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Now it works but says mute/ updating on the display with sound working. Even when I turn it up it still says mute. Guess I have to contact tech support again. I really used to think Klipsch was quality, I am beginning to not believe that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It won't be long before I have a Klipsch surround sound setup throughout my entire house! I couldn't be happier with this product and recommend it to anyone that wants movie theater quality from their sound system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1st impression while unpacking is its well packed Very secure. Everything has its own spot to secure it in the foam. Its heavy duty and came with all the parts needed to hang it and even to measure out where it's supposed to be hung. The one thing it didn't come with is an optical cable but the HDMI and wireless subwoofer makes for an easy install. I do like that it came with several extra HDMI inputs and One output this way I was able to put my xbox and playstation in at the same time. It sounds extremely clear. Its very simple and easy to use would personally recommend!
