A REALY GREAT MACHINE HAS BEEN IMPROVED!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just moved to a new condo after selling my home and one of the first things I did was replace the dishwasher. I had installed an earlier model of this machine at my home about 4 years ago and I never stopped being thrilled with it. Everybody commented on how quiet it was. When I decided to replace the dishwasher here I did a little research with consumer reports and various reviews and decided this was the best deal for the money. They put in a third level tray at the top for silverware and it's a great addition. I live alone and don't even rinse my dishes. I put them in the machine and sometimes it's three days before they get washed. Everything comes out shinny clean. I really recommend this dishwasher.

Dish racks not very accommodating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our previous KitchenAid was 10 years old. Had it repaired twice in the last month before replacing with new dishwasher. Racks in new dishwasher not as useful as racks in old dishwasher. Wine glasses and other classes do not stand up, bowls do sit properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this dishwasher

Cleans well but takes too long

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] --Cleans well but I'm sure it will use more energy than our old one (which broke after 42 (yes, 42!) years just because we're on an excellent very cold water well and by taking so long to run, any water going in is always cold. Turning the hot water on only helps for 10 minutes or so.
--I slso find that the stainless steel interior is dark enough to "lose" small items easily.
--The handle sticks out so far that we can't open the cupboard drawer that's at a right angle to it without opening the dishwasher door.
--The controls are hidden under the edge of the counter when the door is closed (as when it's running) so you can't read them. I wish I'd gotten one with the controls on the front of the door, not the top.
--Takes a long time to dry so we just leave it open all night.
--Extra top rack and racks being adjustable are great!
