Mostly happy with my third KitchenAid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Am enjoying my new dishwasher- only wish that I had taken an everyday plate with me to try in the dishwashers. My plates are large and have a small lip. They do not fit the distance between support prongs to stay as upright as I would like- but do seem to be getting clean. Not certain about the upper rack yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the dishwasher for a couple weeks now. I am not usually impressed with appliances, but I must say that has changed. I know that when I removed the dishes, they will be clean. Loading is a breeze, and I really like the third rack at the top. Very nice feature. I have many KitchenAid small appliances and hope that the quality is the same for the large appliances in regard to reliability.
I would recommend this to a friend!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Love how quiet this dishwasher is. The capacity is great and have used the adjustable height of the top rack frequently. Dishes still come out wet even with the heat dry feature turned on. Minor inconvenience.

Yes, it’s quiet, but….

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how quiet this is but I feel like it doesn’t clean any better than my 20 year old dishwasher I replaced, nor does it hold as many dishes. I tried not rinsing dishes, as they suggest, and several pieces did not get clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dishwasher had a major design flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher was provided as part of an appliance package for a new home build. I would have to say that it does do a good job of washing dishes, but there is a major flaw. There is no way to lock the door to prevent kids from opening it during a wash cycle. It runs relatively quiet, so naturally someone would not realize it’s in the middle of a cycle. A simple locking mechanism on the door, like most dishwashers provide, would prevent someone from accidentally opening it during a cycle and is also the perfect indicator that the dishes are clean. There is no lock functionality on this dishwasher which is a major drawback. I just don’t understand why it is not designed in that way.
