very disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this so called dishwasher about two and half months ago and the handle has come off totally and the rack is off the track …. unbelievable !!

A Perfect Drier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Consumer Report gave this dishwasher a low rating in "Drying." Our experience is it dries perfectly, much better than our former Bosch dishwasher where we consistently had water standing in the bottom of glasses and cups.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Junk. Malfunctioning right out of the box. I went against my gut instincts because I initially was going to buy a Bosch or Miele, but I bought a Kitchen Aid because it was, “Made in the USA.” Never again.

Broke after < 1 year and waiting 3 mos for repair

Bought our dishwasher less than a year ago. It stopped working and we've been waiting 3 months for it to be repaired. We've had 4 different parts changed, just waited 6 weeks for another part and again today the dishwasher still doesn't work. I'm ready to buy a new one from a different company just to make this end. Customer service is a pain because they use a 3rd party repair service so everyone keeps passing the problem to the next person.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Silverware issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disappointed in cleaning of utensils. Our utensils do not fit into the basket. We use the top rack which has little to hold silverware in place. Spoons are often full of water +/- not cleaned. There is little space for spatulas, serving spoons etc. Again the top rack is used and cleanliness is an issue.

Racks are Useless but it’s Quiet

Had a previous KitchenAid for 14 years and I loved it but needed an expensive repair so it made more sense to replace it. Wanted a quiet one and I got that so that’s the one star. The rack design is totally useless. Dinner plates barely fit and are super close. Dinner bowls don’t fit upright. Ceramic cat dishes and bowls don’t sit properly in the middle section of the middle rack, they slide out. The random prongs on the bottom make no sense at all. Difficult to stack correctly. We do the best we can at filling it but it does not hold as much as our old faithful. Wasn’t available to see in person and did not realize I needed to take dinnerware and cat bowls in to check the fit. Silverware rack does not open up to allow beaters, chopper blades or small measuring cups…..just silverware. What a waste of space. I got a quiet dishwasher and that’s all I got. Very disappointed in KitchenAid. Wished I had kept my old racks to see if they would fit. I did keep my old silverware racks and they fit. If I had been able to see it and especially knowing what I do now, I NEVER WOULD HAVE PURCHASED IT. I had no idea it would be so difficult to use. What’s the point of being energy efficient if you have to run it several times because of how much it DOES NOT HOLD. It was a great price and financing so I went ahead with this joke of a dishwasher. KitchenAid, you’re better than this.

Extremely Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love KitchenAid products so much we bought it for our second home as well; however, it does not offset the terrible customer service we received. They are no reasons/excuses for what we went/are going through (multiple failed commitments and once delivered we have been OVER CHARGED). It's hard to believe a company with the size and reputation of Whrilpool operates in this manner.

Great features and amazingly quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago because I was so spoiled with this dishwasher at a previous home I owned, I had purchased this dishwasher for my previous home a few months before I sold it . I just could not get used to the dishwasher at my new home so as soon as I could I bought the same exact dishwasher for my new home. I am so happy with this purchase! I would never own any other dishwasher again!
