Outer panel is rusting

We were very happy with this dishwasher - it's so quiet that you don't even know it's running. After using it for 10 months we noticed that there were small spots of rust forming around the top vent. We contacted our salesman and Kitchenaid and were told that it's not covered under warranty because it's cosmetic. Very disappointed in customer service not standing behind their product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Express wash is 2 hours, Bosch did it in an hour.

Quietest and best cleaning dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great dishwasher. Cleans very well. Normal wash button seems to stop working. Had to turn off the breaker a couple of times to reset it. Seems to be working now. Hopefully lasts. Quietest dishwasher I have ever had. Love the three racks.

Exceeded All of Our Expectations!

Has a top rack for utensils which is a very nice feature. A nice variety of wash cycles, with a larger capacity than our previous dishwashers. Exceeded all of our expectations!

Ridiculously quiet!

We can run the unit anytime we need to without interfering with the other activities we have going like conversations with friends at a dinner party or watching tv in the area next to the kitchen. You can’t really hear the dishwasher at all.

Quiet but loading dishes & utensils is frustrating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several complaints about this (model KDTE204KPS) dishwasher: The middle section is of limited use because dishes roll off. This causes dishes to crowd the cup section, which requires you to turn cup handles in the wrong direction. Also, the bottom utensil basket is extremely poorly redesigned. It has two slot sizes, which is totally unnecessary and inconvenient. Half of my utensils do not fit in the smaller slots! I had to slide out and remove the slot cover; I now have to load my utensils upside down, which is not recommended because of nesting. The handle on the utensil holder is too high, obtrusive, and awkward. One saving grace: this dishwasher is very quiet at 39dBA. Please note: I replaced this dishwasher with a Kitchen Aid dishwasher purchased in 2010. The utensil basket was much better designed; it was a HUGE MISTAKE to redesign it! And, the middle rack was less frustrating and more useful.
