Great dishwasher broke in 60 days.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the dishwasher, but the control panel began to malfunction within the first two months. We are now a month into waiting for parts and more functions are starting to fail. It seems things aren’t built like they used to be!

Love the dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher is very quiet and works great. It was a little harder to install than the one I took out but it was not too hard. The mounting brackets were very awkward and the trim that goes around it didn’t cover very well. I give it four out of five stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This DW replaced our purchase of same model 3 years ago due to a malfunction.The layout of the shelves is much more efficient, so I’m very happy with that. I just wish it was as quiet as the other one. They’re both listed as 39Dba but this one is much noisier. Was there a compromise in the insulation? You can hear it across the room. The older one was so quiet, you had to put your ear up against it to see if it was even running. Otherwise, I would’ve given it 5 stars. It doesn’t affect the quality and functionality though, which is why we love Kitchenaid.

Great Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is MUCH quieter than the old one we replaced. The controls on the top vs. the front are much better also. The only design change I would make is to have the small top rack adjustable in order to put small cups, etc in it.

Steam/moisture vent in front

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 12 years my first Kitchen Aid decided to flood for some unknown reason. I read all the dishwasher reviews and decided to try Kitchen Aid again mostly because I presumed I could get at least 12 years from it. I was won over when I saw the steam/moisture vent was placed in the front (COMMON SENSE). My old one vented at the side and slowly was ruining my very $$$$ custom cabinet. On the positive side, the rack adjusters seem to be engineered better this time and won't disintegrate, the racks come out smoothly, strainer at bottom is a plus, I like the little window on the rinse dispenser, and the utensil basket has a good design. I mostly look forward to having the DRIP TRAY WORK. I believe the machine is to shut down if a leak is detected. Maybe an alarm would also be helpful. I'm guessing the drip tray won't help if there's a gasket leak. I use Affresh but our water is so hard it's a battle. Hoping to wipe down gasket after use from now on. On a final note, machine is so very, very quiet I don't know it's running.

Dishwasher is not what I expected!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old kitchen aid dishwasher was outstanding! The racks in this one are poorly designed. The racks are dumbed down and do not accommodate items nearly as well as the old one. The kitchen aid refrigerator that I bought last year was also poorly designed. Both doors have to be open in order to get into the crisper drawers and the left door has a piece on the edge that doesn’t operate properly and the door doesn’t close. I’m done with kitchen aid!

Nice and quiet but long run time and does not dry

This model is extremely quiet but runs for an extended period of time and has a hard time drying dishes, even on the hottest settings. Trying different solutions but so far nothing is working efficiently
