Defective out of the box!

Recently purchased this unit despite seeing negative reviews thinking Kitchen Aid is a reputable company and I'm sure they addressed the issues with this product. Certainly not the case, after installing and running the start up cycle a 7-2 error code was displayed, according the Owners manual its "pump failure". The same issue multiple other customers have reported. Its apparent that Kitchen Aid has a bad batch of these units out in circulation and instead of recalling them they are letting them be installed then dealing with service calls. Absolutely ridiculous, now I have to spend time on the phone, scheduling a service call for a technician to come out to "verify" the problem and attempt to fix it. What a poor way to do business and ensure a terrible customer experience.
Bottom line, save the hassle and buy another brand unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this a month and a half ago and to be honest I’m not loving it. Dishes don’t fit very well and all of a sudden the normal wash cycle won’t work.

Great Performance and Great Features at Low Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 2 months of using my new KitchenAid (Model# KDTE204KPS) dishwasher I have to say I am very pleased with its features and performance. I have use the ProWash cycle with Finish Power Ball detergent and Finish Jet Dry, and my dishes have thus far come out clean and spotless. It may be missing one or two features the higher priced models have, but I found those features, to me, weren't worth the additional cost. Judging from how well my dishes have turned out, I don't feel I missing out on anything in terms of performance.
