As loud as my 17y.o Kitchenaid dishwasher. The old dishwasher was old and to expensive to repair, to stop leaking. It looks good and was told that you almost have to put your hand on the dishwasher to see if it running. That was not true. It looks good, and has a good interior rack layout. I was willing to pay any price for a quiet, and this is not the item. Consumer Reports advised dont believe db ratings as they are from the manufacturer. I should have bought a Bosch, as I have witnessed they "quiet". Total disappointed on the false statement of quietest. I wish I can return at no cost to me, I would do it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A nice upgrade with useful design features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One month in and happy with the dishwasher. Replaced a 24 yo Whirlpool Gold that was going strong but time to retire. We chose this 204 model to get a high end, low noise unit but in white, which limited our choices as stainless is ubiquitous and exclusive in the 404/604 models. It was well priced for Black Friday and included a free install. The design matches our 3 yr old double oven unit. We have had good luck with whirlpool/kitchen aid brands for decades, but we will see about this unit. We like the size and operation - it is easier to load than other brands we looked at or have used elsewhere in our travels. Plenty of headroom for our larger dishes and we can load two rows of cereal bowls in middle drawer. Dishes come out very clean. It is quiet, although a few swishing sounds but these are not distracting. A couple surprise likes: I like that the clean light stays illuminated while door remains unlatched as we often steal a clean utensil before we get around to emptying the unit. The third drawer is more useful than we ever thought it would be. Some silly issues: The large door has to be pushed all the way to the floor and it’s very stiff. Do miss the indoor silverwear bucket in our old Whirlpool unit but the cleverly designed supplied holder works/cleans well, just covers a lot of real estate. We have to wait on reliability. All in all, a very good unit by design and a happy purchase to date.

Love this dishwasher…..great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 2 months ago. It is great! It is so quiet. I use the express wash and heated dry the most takes about 1 1/2 hours and everything is clean. Love the third rack for lids and big utensils. I have never had a third rack so I am pleased it gets so much use. I like the adjustable rack and all my dishes,bowels, casserole glassware fit great. I wish I would have bought this years ago my old dishwasher was 12 years old and was very loud and seemed to have been smaller. I appreciate the room and options. Buy this you won’t be disappointed.

Quietest dishwasher ever!

It runs so quietly that the first time I ran it, I kept opening up the door to make sure it was working. The resume feature works perfectly, too. :)
