I have had my humidor for one week. Seasoning the humidor was easy. I have not placed my sticks in the humidor as of yet so I can not give a complete review. I hope NewAir will reach back out in 6 months to a year for a better informed review.

First Humidor Review, My Thoughts.

Well I just bought this a week ago and after having just plugged it in a few days ago I can say one thing for sure is that it looks amazing and the smell is quite nice too. The drawers are nice, but a little finicky to get out sometimes. I do wish I didn't have to open the door almost all the way out to pull out the drawers/shelves, but I can sorta see why this is the case, mainly due to the rubber magnetic seal. The heater has much to be desired and if you accidentally push to F/C button, your temperature settings reset for whatever reason, but that's a minor fault. The heater does well for its size. At first I thought it was rubbish, but after an hour I saw it went from 64 degrees to 70, where i had it set, so it's not too bad. I'll have to come back a few months later to update my review. I have one complaint, which is that I wish there were more accessory options for drawers and such. I personally love to categorize my cigars or at least shelve them, so I am reaching out to a carpenter to see what he can do for me as far as customization is concerned. It is nice to see that Newair gives us cubic feet as well, which made it easy to purchase the right size cigar oasis. There are just my first impressions, so I will probably come back in a year to give an update on how well it keeps humidity and temperature. I have noticed that the digital hygrometer was a huge step up as far as standard industry practices goes, so well done on Newair for doing that, while many competitors still use that junk ornamental analog hygrometer. ALSO! I'll say I wish the fan would kick on when needed, rather than stay on all the time. TLDR: So far first impressions are nice, I just wish there were more accessories to go with it as far as shelving and display purposes goes.

I absolutely love this Humidor, was very easy to set up and season. I didn’t have any issues getting the temperatures to where I wanted.

Great Humidor

This has been a great Humidor, so much better than just the wooden or plastic ones. Fan's keep air moving and it keeps temps and humidity spot on with a couple of the big boveda packs. Only thing is I wish it had a few more lights. Customer service has been great as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Humidor arrived within a week of being ordered. With the exception of a few barely noticeable dents at the top of the door, it arrived in excellent condition. I let it season for two and a half days before using. Many reviews describe the humidity reaching almost 80% during seasoning process, but mine never went above 74% which was exactly 5% above where I wanted it to be, and it took several hours before it ever got that high. Now it holds an even 69%. At this point, since it holds humidity great and the temp is around 70°, the only time I plug it up is if the temp goes above 72°and I set the thermometer to 69°. I thought I’d come close to filling it up, but I can’t fit all of my cigars inside and I mainly smoke robustos so 250 is not an accurate count description; maybe more like 175-200. Overall it’sa good purchase and I will NEVER go back to a wooden humidor.

I had the unit about eight months and I had an issue with the hydrometer and cooling. I contacted the company via email and Karen immediately began to trouble shoot the unit. We discovered the problem within a matter of minutes. Once discovered I was given the choice to receive the replacement part at no charge to me, or replace the unit. This was actually the "EASIEST" experience I have ever had when trying to correct a problem that I have had with a product. For that alone I would highly recommend the purchase of this product and from this company. The purchase is always easy, but the customer service to correct any and all issues after the purchase is where the money is, and determines weather we purchase a product again from that company. Although, I am disappointed that I had a problem. I am glad that it wasn't compounded by their company policy and bad customer service. You want to buy a product that can resolve issues fast, and without having to leave feeling like you were in a heavy weight boxing match.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A must for proper cigar aging.

I use the Newair 250 to store and age my cigars. The precise temperature control is fantastic, and the unit is well sealed, which is essential for proper humidity control. I did have a problem with the temperature control, but customer service quickly remedied the problem and sent me a new unit free of charge. I would recommend this product.

After receiving my first Newair coolidor, I had problems where the RH levels would gradually rise all on their own and without an added Boveda pack. Newair sent me a replacement, and the same problem persists. I've decided to keep the unit anyways because it's the only way I can continue my cigar habit. I have to remove my cigars and shelves once every four days and insert a bowl of baking soda until the RH levels drop to 63 or so. As stated before, I don't use humidification in the unit because it creates its own.
