This router provides far better distance on 2.4 and 5G bands than my old one. It also supports AX which can talk to an ipad. However, my limit is cable modem at 200mb , so I left AX off. Older A / C devices had trouble connecting with AX enabled.

Super fast and easy to set up, and super reliable. I have not had any trouble with this or my previous ASUS router. I upgraded to this RT-AX3000 when I started working from home and upgraded to 1.3 Gig internet, my old RT-AX1200 router was not as fast as my internet speed once I upgraded.
