Dear Gina5280,
We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused.
All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last. The router not working after a year and a half of usage is a random problem. Typically, by simply doing a power cycle to both your ISP's modem and the router will resolve the issue. Additionally, check if your ISP's credentials still maches the router's settings. Furthermore, please update the firmware if it was outdated. The most current firmware version is posted at: https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-wifi-routers/rt-ax3000/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=RT-AX3000. After a successful firmware update, check if the router's settings still matches your ISP's credentials. If these steps were performed to no avail, we recommend you send the product in for service to determine if this is a hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately. An RMA number is required to send it in for service. For RMA details, please go to: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/818/.

I replaced an aging ASUS RT-AC1900P with this newer technology RT-AX3000. Setup of the new router was simple since ASUS kept the interface the same. Router works great, is reliable and speeds are excellent.

Bought two of these to replace the worthless new Netgear RAX120 (kept cutting out on the signal). The Asus was super easy to setup and the AiMesh was easy to setup also. Would definitely recommend this router

Only had for a week. So far the AX3000 is working great. We went to Directv streaming and the new router has improved signal strength and connectivity. Highly recommend.

I have a 2400sf level home and the AX3000 does Not reach throughout my home! There is signal drop from right around the corner from the room that the router was placed. Returned this one for the AX5400.

Dear Surftech,
We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused.
To resolve the signal drop, or unstable wireless connection, please verify the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired by a network cable, and ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. It is not set close to electronic devices, or appliances and thick wall since these will definitely affect signal strength and wireless coverage. Legacy devices may not work properly with WIFI6, please check updates for these device. Also, try connecting this manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Try resetting the routers and reconfigure or setup the devices, check the configuration base on your ISP's WAN settings. Also we recommend updating the router firmware if it running with an older version. Firmware is available for download at: https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-wifi-routers/rt-ax3000/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=RT-AX3000.
