I just purchased this router a few days ago, so understand that my experience is limited. My previous router had to be re-booted every day or two after it froze.
Removing my old router and adding the Asus was pretty easy using the Asus app. The paperwork in the packaging was also very useful.
This router has been solid since I installed it. It also does a better job with devices on our back patio than the previous router, but I cannot cite real data.

Unit is failing with regularity to produce a WIFI output. Five calls to CS and it still doesn't work. Calling again today to see about a replacement.

To resolve the unstable connection, please verify the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired by a network cable, and ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. Check your ISP information and ensure that your WAN settings in the router's setting page are correct. Legacy devices may not work properly with WIFI6, please check updates for these device. Also, try connecting this manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Try resetting the mesh routers and reconfigure or setup the devices. Also we recommend updating the Mesh router firmware if it running with an older version. Experience using Android mobile App included a false start due to incomplete data entry from scanning QR code. Otherwise, manual setup was flawless and easy to use once I got past this glitch. Wireless performance throughout the 2,000 sq foot home (main floor and basement) is exceptional with a 500 MB/sec asynchronous download speed from Spectrum.
