I bought this router to upgrade from a previous Asus RT-ACRH13 router (Asus is the only router brand I would by). This is my 3rd Asus router and this one is just flat out fast. My previous RT-ACRH13 router was in perfect working condition but it was 5 years old so I just felt it was time to upgrade and future proof. The new AX3000 router upped my iPhone 13 speed from 150 mbps to roughly 700 mbps, and my laptop changed from 150 mbps to about 450 mbps so I'm very satisfied with this router. Even my Amazon Firesticks seem to have more pep and less lag. The AX3000 also has some decent features like AIcloud, AIprotection and of course it's a AIMesh capable router. I'm not a gamer so I can't speak to whether or not this is a capable enough router for that application, but it seems pretty great for everything else.

I purchased this router to replace an older ASUS router. My old router was working well, but I purchased a new laptop and could not take advantage of the 'AX' wireless connection. I also have three ASUS AI-Mesh extenders. The transition to the new RT-AX3000 was seamless. I uploaded the configuration file from my previous ASUS router, and I instantly was up and running with my preferred configuration. I am incredibly pleased with the RT-AX3000.
