2.4 GHz very slow under 50mbps on a 300mbps isp. 5Ghz over 225 mbps. This is second unit I purchased had to verify the issue was the device.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Limit range as a primary router. Tried with Asus RTX-AX3000 58 extender with limited success. Currently using as a extender with another Asus router using Aimesh

The router works wonderfully in every way but for the whole router VPN option. The best download speed I could accomplish with it activated was 57Mbp, when it is off, 390Mbp. And I have to constantly recycle it off and on to keep it from glitching, even after the help of Tech Support.

So far the ASUS RT-AX3000 wifi router is working great. It replaced an older TP- Link Archer that was over 10 years old. It was time to upgrade. I read a lot of very good reviews on the ASUS RT-AX300, have 1 gig cable Internet coming to a Surfboard SB-8200 modem. With the ASUS RT-AX300 I have wifi outside on my deck, while mowing my lawn, doing yard work. this is a Great upgrade for a wifi router
