I felt it was time to replace my 10 year old Asus router ( which was amazing compared to all the previous routers I had). I tried another Asus router recommended by a salesperson. That one wasnt nearly as good as my 10 year old one. After speaking with a more experienced salesperson he assured me the RX-AX3000 would be much better than my original. He was right! I never saw much remarkable speeds. I have a computer that is quite old and and old wireless adapter. Both have surpassed my expectations. Speedtests are much better including all my Roku TV connections. Excellent choice, dont skimp, even when it comes to a lower grade Asus. You will be happy to went for a few dollars more.

Though able to set up NEARLY everything with some difficulty, I have not been able yo set up either of my SMART TVs, one about 1 foot from the router, the other about 15 feet. The WPS button doesn't seem to do anything. I was able to set up my Apple TV (the only piece of Apple gear I have), but that is plugged directly to the ethernet port. I wouldn't recommend it to a novice unless they had a good tech guy. They do, however, answer the phone for tech support without making you wait forever, seem to be well-versed though they couldn't get either of my SMART TVs to connect.

We have had at least three ISPs because we thought it was their fault that our connection was so shoddy- weak signals, dropped connections, and difficulty connecting with the modem. We will be returning this item as it has been a huge frustrating disappointment.
