The only concern I have is that the laptop is getting hot all the time. I have installed HWMonitr and the temperature of cores could jump up to 100 C.

The workstation is great. Very fast, although I under use it, the keyboard is comfortable, the pad is small enough to not be intrusive but not so small as to be a burden (ie, great size), the buttons have not been in my way (I was worried they would be - I am used to laptops with no mouse buttons. The fan is not loud - some review I read complained of that - those people must be hyper sensitive - my macbook pro fan was way louder - I had to really pay attention to the fan just to gain some opinion for myself on what other people reviews were. It works great the extra monitors, airpods pro, bluetooth mouse and keyboards, bluetooth conference speakers, etc. all at the same time (save for the airpods and conference speakers - but those interchange perfectly).
Such a great computer, and with the discounts at holiday times, it is a real steal too.
This ThinkPad P1 Gen 3 is awesome. It runs super fast. It super light yet sturdy. I had an apple pro laptop before huge difference between the two. I will never buy apple again. Apple is like buying a cheap cooking pan and The think pad is like buying an awesome cast iron pan. Just my analogy.
The graphic are excellant. Overall Happy i made this purchase. Thanks
good computer for architecture students. I originally wanted to buy a Mac but windows is better for certain programs so I got this one since it was compatible with AutoCAD.
Upgraded from an XPS 9550 that was on its last legs.
The exact Lenovo model purchased is 20TJS07300
Bottom line: Fantastic product if you get it for the right price. Miles ahead anything an xps can offer.
The good:
- Solid build quality - 4k IPS screen is amazing - Consistent power delivery and performance. - Physical camera shutter is really useful - Microphone mute button is handy - Keyboard is very satisfying to use
The bad:
- The sales experience is probably among the worst for a product that expensive. I initially ordered a lower model that was cancelled and never received in the first place. It took 5+ weeks of daily phone calls and online chat support to get my money refunded.
- The pricing varies quite a bit, up to 1000 dollar variation within days or weeks.
- The laptop wakes up from sleep mode and from shutdown with random restarts. The windows prompts or fan noise can wake you up in the middle of the night.
- The fingerprint sensor is very inconsistent.
The Average:
- Speakers are loud and clear but bass is non existent.
- Battery life can be better but it's completely adequate given the weight and the performance of the device.
- The track-pad's responsiveness is worse than the xps, it's on the smaller size but the physical buttons are nice to have.

I selected the P1 to replace an aging MacBook, and for the pricepoint you get all the power without the added costs of features like the touchbar and multiple adapters to make it workable with peripherals. I appreciated all the spec levels available that allows you to get exactly what you need. I was looking for more power under the hood with a standard display (I use an external 4K monitor).
The design has come along way since I selected the first gen. retina display MacBook over a PC in 2012. The body feels sturdy and the workstation is incredibly light. Another nice feature is the speakers positioned on the sides so you can use them with the screen closed.
