Absolutely Love this product!

After reading all the information on this canner I started saving up to buy one, my kids gave me one for my 80th birthday, and I absolutely love it! I have only had two issues was while pressure canning, 1st was canning with wide mouth quarts, for some reason the vent lock wasn't coming up and I had to check the seals and start over. the 2nd was no where have I seen that you need to raise the rack above water level when pressure canning 1/2 pints, I learned that from the Facebook group for Presto Digital Canner. I would buy another tomorrow if a larger one was available that would water bath quarts.

Lining peels away

Bought mine in April. Started out great. After a batch of tomatoes, I had some syphoning, put the liner pot in the dishwasher (instructions said was safe) NOT! Lining of pot peeled off.

Regulator won’t stop steaming.

For some reason the regulator continually let steam out but still counted down for red peppers. It didn’t do that for the tomatoes or the meat. I thought it was just regulating for temperature control and did count down in “canning” mode after a while. But now I’m back to canning tomato’s and the regulator is letting steam out after the pressure valve went up for more than 30 minutes. It’s not counting down and no error code. Some of the black coating has been coming off the bottom and corners when I wash it but it is still black and looks ok. But could that be why the regulator keeps letting steam out. I’m at a loss. I will shut it down and clean the regulator. Could it be something else? Jane

Double check to see if you pushed the advance arrow on your canner. There could be something wrong with your regulator instead. We'll talk to you about the peeling pot as well. Regardless, call us. I LOVE MY PRESSURE CANNER

Three years ago I bought this canner on the advice of a friend. I bought it in JANUARY and spent the rest of a western Pennsylvania winter reading and re-reading instructions. I wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing. My MIL had used an older stove top pressure canner and it terrified me---I was sure it would explode any minute and I vowed I would NEVER have a pressure canner. And look at me now. I LOVE my pressure canner!

I really would give it a dive, because I absolutely love it, but it would be even better if you could water bath quart jars. So how about a 4.9 😁

I LOVE MY PRESTO PRECISE DIGITAL CANNER!

I bought ny Presto Precise Electric Canner a year ago. A few months ago I found another Presto Precise on Facebook Marketplace, and after talking to the seller, it was a gift and had never even been taken out of the box. I absolutely love these Canners, and will most likely buy a third one! I love it so much I bought my daughter in law the latest model because she likes to can also, and with two children it is easy for her to not have to babysit a stovetop canner. I love being able to set it and forget it once I put my regulator is on and the jar warming stage means I don’t need another pot to heat my jars in! Gone are the days of heating up my kitchen with the stovetop, and I have only used my stovetop canner once since last summer. The only thing I wish my Presto Precise Canner could do is waterbath quarts and then it would be perfect! Maybe Presto would consider a stainless steel pot instead of the teflon coated one?

Mostly satisfied

I bought this about a year and a half ago and am mostly satisfied. A few things I would prefer are a longer cord and a stainless steel pot, since this is the only pot or pan in my kitchen that has nonstick coating. I'm also having some issues with my jars sealing. It seems that I have to tighten the rings more, and sometimes that doesn't even do the trick. I've never had this many failures when I used my Presto stovetop canner. I also wish I could fit more quart jars in it. Five is the limit, and I usually have a few left over that won't fit, so I have to run the canner twice. When I'm doing a 90 minute run, it takes an awfully long time to complete canning all the jars. Other than those few things, it's a lot easier to use, and I don't have to stare at my gauge the whole time I'm using the canner.
