Great canner, for beginners especially!

I got my presto electric canner about six months ago and I am so glad I did. Being a first time canner, this canner made it so easy to learn how to safely can foods. I started to use the mini guide step by step sheet nail I got familiar with it and now it’s a breeze. Our family just loves our canned meats, vegetables and salsa.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Used about 12 times. Every second can the pressure doesn't build enough to pop the valve. I do the same steps each and every time but it fails to move into canning mode about 50% of the time and I have to start over. I check valves and vents each and every time. Very frustrating. Trying my potatoes now for the third time. If it doesn't work this time, I'll have to just freeze them. Not sure how to fix this.

Better off with a presto 23 stovetop canner.

I’ve had this for 3 years and can year round. The plastic on the locking mechanism fell apart piece by piece from heat and crumbled. It’s a throw away appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible teflon liner that bubbles and peels

I love this electric canner but they need to make a replacement liner for it that does not have teflon. Mine started bubbling and then peeling after about three cycles. Really frustrating to spend all this money and have to hunt down a replacement liner which they conveniently are out of stock on. It must be everyone’s is messed up. Just know this before you buy this.

not working well. one Month later = broken

I bought my canner just over a month ago. it has had problems from the start. the seal it came with doesnt seem to seal properly and it drips. I Pulled out all my items and had my 4 lbs of ground beef and 4 lbs of ham ready to go, had my water boiling on the stove, and my broth for My ham.. my jars are washed And ready to cycle... I move my canner onto My countertop to start warming jars and adding food.... and my stupid new canner just beeps at Me, the screen is blank/no lights, and it wont reset. it seems to be not working at all. I am very frusterated with this. I have used it maybe 3 or 4 times, and purchased it on the recomendation of the Rose Red Homestead show. It Has turned out to be very frusterating and I worry It is dangerous. Now, it wont turn on at all. What a waste of money.

Makes My Canning Even Easier!!

I'm in my 3rd canning season with the Digital Canner and I love it!! It has been effortless to use and very straight forward. I love being able to just use it on my countertop and once it's set to go, I don't have to "babysit" it like I did with my other pressure canner. Presto's instructions are very easy to follow so there's never any doubt if you are doing the right thing or not. This is one small appliance that sits proudly on my kitchen counter and gets used frequently!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I Love This Canner!

I purchased my Presto Digital Canner about a year ago. I had read several reviews from other websites before purchasing and determined their testing that this was a safe canner. Not only can I count on food safety with it, but it is so easy to use. The directions that come with it are very easy to understand. I love using it to can food. The only drawback is the cool down time. If I have several batches to do, I have to wait for it to cool down.

Best product I have bought in years.

I bought the larger Presto canner last fall and it has been such a blessing because I had no idea how to can. This canner makes it so easy for me at my age. It's been a great experience and I know what is in my food now and feel so good that I made it. It does take some prepping but it is all worth it. Put on some music and enjoy canning with this Presto. Customer service is excellent too. Any ?'s you have they are very helpful and that's what makes a 5 star business.
