Canning as easy as can be!

I just purchased my second electric canner. I've been canning for 50 years. These are a game changer. Hoping to save to buy a third one. I do a lot of canning.

Wondering if it is worth the money?

I bought my canner in July of 2021. It was the best decision even though I hesitated to spend the money for a canner that didn’t hold as many jars as my stovetop canner. But I am older now and I am no longer able to lift a heavy canner or stand in the kitchen and babysit the canner on the stove. But honestly even if I didn’t have those handicaps I would love it. It makes canning so simple and straightforward and goofproof!. And it was simple enough to show my husband so he could help me with the canning.
If you are a beginner at canning and you don’t need to can a lot at a time this is the way to go. It will get you comfortable with canning and may be all you need, unless you want to water bath quarts. But I prefer a water bath or steam canner still for high acid foods. A steam canner is especially good for things that take up to 45 minutes.
My canner sits in the kitchen most of the time. Meat on sale at the grocery store? I buy a lot and can it. Chuck roast, 90/10 ground beef crumbles, and skinless chicken thighs are my go to things to can in the winter. It sure helps when the money just isn’t stretching as far as you’d like or when uou want a quick yet tasty meal which is why I love it.

This is my second PDC. I love the first canner I purchased but I am thrilled with this new updated canner. The longer cord and the pressure regulator on the front makes the canner easier to use. This appliance makes canning much easier. Ive used Presto stove top canners for years as my mother before me did. I trust Presto to make a good safe product.

Easy and convenient

I would highly recommend this canner to anyone for canning. It is precise, just as it says. It is especially good for the beginner. I have my stove-top canners as well. This one is just so simple because I can walk away and it does the pressure without worrying.

First time using my electric camera. It will not advance past the can step to canning. Very disappointed.

I have had my Presto electric pressure canner for over a year, and it's one of the best investments I have ever made! It takes the fear and guess work out of pressure canning. I have been very pleased with everything that I have canned so far. This week was hot dog chilli, then baked beans. All wonderful!
