Not afraid anymore!

My mother always wanted me to learn to pressure can on her stovetop canner. It scared me to death! Then I found this electric canner. I’m canning everything in sight! lol I love the simplicity of it. And it’s the perfect size for us.

Love it! Would love it more if I could steam can!

I bought my Presto Digital about a year and a half ago and love it. I love that it's simple to use and I don't have to watch any gauges or jugglers. I also like being able to use the stove for other things. I have started using a stove top steam canner though rather than my digital because it is faster to heat less water and much easier to lift. I haven't had any need for water bath canning for quarts. The one improvement I would love to see is a steam canning rack with instructions and the option to use the same settings for water bath/steam canning. Hopefully quarts could be steam canned without needing the canner to be taller because I'm not tall. Otherwise this canner is awesome!

So Easy to Use

This canner makes it so easy even for beginners like me to feel safe knowing that following safe tested recipes I can preserve my garden and make shelf stable food.

L’appareil est d’une simplicité à utilisé. Presto m’a soutenue au delà de mes attentes avec un petit problème au départ. Ce qui a renforcé m’a confiance en la compagnie. Je pense a en acquérir un autre pour la saison l’an prochain.

Power failure

It makes canning easy but it has one major drawback. If the power goes out, the canner completely resets and you must start over with new lids. So good that was 75% processed will now be overcooked and mushy. My bread machine has a 15 minute memory. If the power goes out for less than 15 minutes , it remembers where it left off and continues. 15 mi it’s might be too long, but certainly it holds pressure for one or two minutes. A tiny blip in power loss should not cause you start over 100%.

I bought my Presto about 2 years ago. It sits on my counter permanently.it takes all of the stress out of pressure canning. Absolutely love this canner. Very user friendly. It does it all. Very few days go by without it being used. Highly recommend
