[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Ferrari set for my husband because he loves building things. This set wasn't too challenging. My husband and I completed it together and it took us 6 hours to complete it. The detailed instructions booklet definitely helps when putting it together. It was a great building experience that my husband and I shared together.
I went crazy building this, but then I wanted two!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I almost forgot how much fun Lego builds were. Building the Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse #51” was a roller coaster of emotions. Excited to see what the end product would look like, happy to have a challenging puzzle in front of me, and frustrated when I would lose track of a piece. Watching my progress almost made sad to finish it, but I was anxious to get another version of this. It brought back a feeling of watching my work when I was a junior Lego builder, but with the advanced experience of working with it.
This went together pretty easily, there re a few spots in the directions that I found to be off a little b it, but after awhile of tinkering you can figure it out. All in all it was a great build.
I love building the Technic cars modeled off of real super cars. At this price point it is so much more appealing to grab this and the Porsche RSR over the Bugatti and Lamborghini. The last Ferrari technic is worth 1k+ used if you can find it. This one will be the same if they discontinue (which they do).
Super fun to build, very challenging but also satisfying.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Boy has Lego come a long way from what I remember playing with as a child because this set is insane. An age of 18+ is recommended but my son is an expert at Legos at age 14 and he is having no trouble putting this Ferrari together (although he is having to learn to work with some new Lego shapes he hasn't worked with before). The set has 1677 pieces in total and once assembled the Ferrari measures 19" in length and 5" high, my son loves that on the back it gives you the specifications of a real Ferrari 488 GTE (speed, engine size, etc.). The colors are bright and bold and once completely assembled you can actually "play" with the car. My son has been working on this for over a week now, wanting to savor every aspect of the build, but with the clear, concise instructions he is moving right along with just a little help from his dad (who secretly covets the set for himself). Looking forward to getting the new flower kits for my daughter as this set is just gorgeous and has turned out to be a nice project for our whole family.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a challenging and fun build. I'm not sure how long it took as I worked on it an hour or so over a few days. Some parrs around the engine are a little hard to get in. I also thought one set of instructions was out of order but it did work. This is absolutely an adult set. I appreciate the attention to details. The steering wheel turns the wheels, the doors open, the pistons move. As a sports car lover, this was so fun to work on. Just goes to show you that you are never too old for Legos!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sisters and I spent a fun day building this Ferrari together, 9 1/2 hours total. The quality of the bricks is excellent, with the Technic bricks. Very sturdy. There were a few confusing parts in the instructions, particularly the "add to the car" parts (when you build a part and then need to attach it to the car) which is the only reason I gave 4 stars. The detail is amazing, it looks like the real car. It's also huge, definitely a showpiece. The details like moving engine parts are just incredible.
