Good but missing some pieces

I truly enjoyed the outcome of this LEGO set, however the building was a bit of a pain. I understand that technic LEGOs are meant to be more difficult, but there was a constant issue with connector pieces not fitting into their selected spots. I also struggled with the fact that there was around 4 or 5 missing black connector pieces.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So worth it

I'm a car guy and this far succeeded my expectations. Sometimes it's difficult to understand the manual and where to put certain pieces think otherwise it was relatively easy. I like the attention to detail but I feel like the interior was a little bit empty, overall it was amazing and I would recommend it.

I got this set from my parents on Christmas. I am still playing with it almost constantly! PS. Sorry if the photos are not great. I took them with the webcam on my laptop.

Frustrating Experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely a cool and well built set. However, the instructions are terrible. Half of the time it’s guess work on trying to figure out what went wrong while building it. I’ve had this set for almost a month now and I’m still on bag 3. Way too frustrating to finish.

Massive!

I haven't built a technic build since my parents bought me Bionicle and Hero Factory sets. Seeing as how Lego has a diverse lineup of automotive technic builds available, I figure I could afford to splurge on a really cool setpiece such as this 488 to work on as a fun project. I didn't have any trouble with the large amounts of stickers needed, and found their detailing to the real thing to be spot-on! The build itself was also exceedingly fun, seeing all the suspension components come together for the first two segments of the vehicle, plus the engine was some of the most satisfying building I've experienced. The complete package is just as awe-inspiring to me. Huge, and the functions of the vehicle work wonderfully. To those that wanna give the automotive builds a go, I highly recommend this particular set!

Underrated project

Had a great time with this. Most low star reviews state it is “too difficult” or “hard to follow”. I assure you, building this car is challenging, but doable and rewarding. Don’t gift this to your 7 year old, but most will eventually get it built if you just pay attention to the details.
This Ferrari 488 Gte is extremely detailed (if you could manage to replace the fake motor with a small electric one, Stewart Little could drive this around). Not to mention it looks awesome when built. I chose not to put all the stickers on, as I think some are tacky looking.
I’m a huge car guy, and who doesn’t love legos. I plan to have it on my shelf for years to come.

It’s a fun set now great for the wall, the only issue is it is lifted like a truck. Supercar are meant to be lower to the ground this this one is huge

FERRARI 488 GTE WEC Race Car

The Ferrari 488 GTE is a was a very fun build very realistic to the actual car used in the WEC and IMSA racing series. The set is a little tricky to build around the front of the car and the sides with the tube peices to align perfectly to make the wind shield. Overall a great set and I totally recommend to anyone who's a fan of FERRARI and endurance sports car racing.
