Loved the idea, purchased this one for myself. It took some time which was nice. I didn’t like that some parts held together by 1 brick piece and a few times the pieces did not go how they should or blew apart and took time to figure how to carefully reassemble. Also had the first experience of “missing a piece” which bummed me out especially when it was on the tail end of build. Replacement is scheduled to ship asap. I’m happy with it but also a bit bummed with it.

This was such a fun build! The detail and size makes it a must have for an Ghostbusters fan! The one thing I liked was that the rust marks are stickers so if you wanted to you could not use them and make it look like the 1984 Ecto.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I’m amazed by all the moving parts this model has. It’s a lot bigger than it looks online or in the store for that matter. Overall I believe it’s a great build and I would recommend this to any ghostbusters fan or any car builder fan.

Good luck getting anything from LEGO try eBay were you can pay almost twice the amount LEGO is selling it for and what good is a LEGO vip membership when sets are sold out in minutes

Challenging yet satisfying!

Everything about this Ecto-1 was incredibly satisfying as you got to watch the car take shape and play with the mechanisms as the building progresses. The main difficulty comes from aligning the pegs when placing the roof onto the windows because if you try to press too hard, it will cause the windows to collapse outward. Once you’re done, this is something you can play with as if it were a miniature version of the real thing!
