Amazing Ghostbusters Ecto-1

I had a lot of fun building this kit. I took my time working a couple hours each weekend until complete. The inside and outside detail is amazing. The car looks great when completed.

New plastic

This set is fantastic. A must have for GB and pop culture fans. HOWEVER....Lego, the new (and softer) plastic used for the transparent pieces in this set is absolutely horrible. Immediately beat up right out the bag. The windscreen especially should be packaged alone.

Great first build, it was very enjoyable

This was my first Lego ever! I usually do puzzles when I house / pet sit, and my neighbor said she'd be gone for a month. So this is great to leave at her place and work on for a few hours in the morning and evening while the dogs nap. It only took me a week, which was fine, but i wish it lasted longer, Maybe I'll take it apart and do it all over again :)

Every Ghosbusters fan's dream come true!

I've always been a huge Lego and Ghostbusters fan so I was beyond excited when this set was announced. Definitely one of my favorite Lego sets of all time. I did however leave the rust stickers off my build.

The Ecto-1

As a kid growing up in the 80's, who didnt love the Ghostbusters. My first small set was actually the smaller Ecto-1 from a few years ago. This was a gift over the holidays and I did a bag a day to keep myself occupied. I really enjoyed the attention to details this set had and gimmicks, even though I totally thought I was installing the piston for the turret chair wrong. I did the build without the rust stickers, It was the only draw back to the set, but its a nice mix of bricks and MINDSTORM pieces (not sure what they are actually called). Glad I built it, I got back into LEGO when I became a robotic coach, on to the Nintendo Set.

I'm only negative thing is my box was damaged i planed on keeping box and set closed and stored for my kids when they grow up.
