Great gift for any ghostbuster fan

This is the first somewhat technic build ive purchased and what a build to start off on. Over time as i built the car my mind was blown at just how many small details they were able to fit into the build and just how solid it was by the end. This is an amazing display piece that actually offers a bit of playability. Of course this being an 18+ set level its not like im gonna be playing car chases with it on the floor, but if you do have children 12+, im positive they can build this and actually play with it as a functioning toy and not break it. As a ghostbuster fan having this sit next to the lego firehouse with its mini-figure scale ecto, it looks perfect. Its actually amazing to compare both the large one to the small one as you can clearly see how they shrunk the details of the big car down to the little one. Would certainly recommend to any GB fan, or to anyone who loves a classic Cadillac.

Don't use rust sticker & get the original Ecto-1

You can avoid using the rust sticker and have the good old Ecto-1.from Ghostbuster 1. That Lego is amazing. I use the spare part to add a lever to hold the hood open for display (see pictures)

This build is hands down one of if not the absolute funnest I've ever done. The fact that it starts out with what looks like a Haynes repair manual as the building instructions book really set the tone for the entire build. Being based off the Ecto-1 from the new film, some purists may complain about sacrilege but I got one personally e joyed the film tremendously and felt this was an excellent tribute to the whole franchise. The details of the model are very well executed, the interior is very true to what's on the screen and the included engine that no one would ever regularly see is truly a gift from the designers. This set feels like it was designed and built by someone that truly appreciates both the movies, the car itself and cars overall. The rotating radars tied into the rear wheel, the drop down for the remote ghost trap, the side gunners pop out seat, all amazing! I cannot say enough great things about this set. I've built so many Legos in my life and this one was pure joy from start to finish. I highly recommend it to anyone that's a fan of the films, cars and just looks forward to an immensely enjoyable build experience.

Detailed Nostalgia!

This set is one of the most detailed, intricate sets I’ve assembled. It has all kinds of little Easter eggs and hidden functions that I just love! I added the Lightailing LED kit and it’s just absolutely stunning.

I had this set sitting in my garage for a few years. After I move, I decided to put this set together. This was a really huge set for me to build. I really had a blast building this Ghostbusters set. It took me about 4 days to finish. My 8 yr old son decided to put the Hotdog man on top of it. I notice there were some scuffs and scratches on the window pieces when it was all done. Lego needs to protect these clear window and large pieces in some form of protection because these items are so fragile. Overall I love this Ecto 1 and I would recommend it for a Ghostbusters fan. I have watch this movie numerous time and loved it.
