Cops and donuts...,priceless!

I won't dwell on the many attributes here, the 4 & 5 star reviewers here and on the internet have handled that very well.
The Lego designers have done an exceptional job of providing innovation, originality, unique details, storyline, part usage and color. Never boring or repetitious. .Well done!

Police station is amazing.

This set is outstanding. It would really recommend this det to any one who is interested in buy this set, it is absolutely worth it. If you are worried about the price per piece, do not be. Each piece is less than 10 cent. If you think this set if for adults, you are wrong. This build is not very herd, there are no stickers which I know can be a bit hard for kids to get on. The build overall is very hard just a bit long. Their are great details and features that all ages can enjoy. If you enjoy this set, get the book shop from last year so they connect up with each other and buy the older ones before they retire.

Modular Builds are My Favorite

The LEGO Police Station was a fun build and it was a pretty easy build. The only complaint I have is I wish there was a sink in the bathroom so the mini figures could wash their hands. LOL The exterior is nice, but I really like the details that are inside as gives a nice 40s & 50s look to the station. The classic police uniforms is a nice touch that LEGO did. I would recommend this to anyone.

Tons of Secrets
on April 7, 2021

This is my first Modular set build, and I absolutely love Modular Police Station. I love how the designer has small secrets sprinkled throughout as you build as it helps unravel the mystery of the story behind the set itself. First, you find the newspaper on the stand talking about a donut thief, then you build the 2nd story where the police station has donuts lying on the table next to the mug shot station, the apartment has a secret door that leads to the donut shop, then the 3rd story with an evidence locker chockful of items pointing to the crime, then a bird with a stolen donut on the window ledge! Who truly is the thief? Did the news stand owner commit the crime to sell papers? Is he the apartment owner above the donut shop with the secret door? Or is it the bird stealing the donuts? That's what I absolutely love, the story seems to come alive all throughout the entire build and truly sucked me into the experience and I haven't even begun discussing the building itself! The aesthetics are reminiscent of 1930s Americana with a hint of Art Deco architectural styling. the side buildings are a bit small, but I'm glad they opened up the donut shop inside to allow more space for displaying all those incredible sweets. The only boring part was stacking brick upon brick to the sides and back walls just because there's no styling to them. I know it's for good reason, as these sets are designed to be placed next to each and would cover the sides anyway, but that was my only complaint. I am very, very happy with this set and plan to look for more modular sets to add to my new collection. Well done LEGO, well done.

Law and Order comes to your Modular City

This latest offering in the Lego Modular Buildings sub theme is up to the same excellent standards set by the team every year. I think this is the 15th building? And a must have for the collector or City Builder.
This is a fantastic set, that is overall a fantastic build experience. Just challenging enough for an expert adult builder, while an older child 14+ could probably handle it.
The buildings theming is a nice fully rendered precinct house with a donut shop next door. It overall has a feel that can exist comfortably anywhere from the 1930's up through the 1970's or early 80's. The color choices while not as flashy as some other buildings do suit the nature of the structure. The interiors are well laid out with a holding cell from which some determined prisoner has been seeking to escape with a spoon. The donut shop is small but well detailed but does the trick. There is a small rental room above it which is apparently the lair of the donut thief. The remainder of the two attached buildings are the police facilities. Which include front desk, holding cell, upstairs is the officers desks for paperwork and the evidence room. Above that we have the interogation room and a bathroom.
Overall this is a fantastic set and sits in the upper half of the Modular buildings. 2 simple changes probably could have brought it to the top and made it the effective replacement for the now legendary and beloved Fire Brigade as the set that graduated Lego fans and family's from City sets to the more advanced Creator Expert 18+ AFOL type offerings.
The first is Minifigs. This set feels like it is missing 2 minifigs. Especially compared to other similar sets. It needed another Police Officer. And it needed a classic crook. Not the Newstand vendor changing hats. That would have made the set much more playable just within it's own contents.
The second, and I can't believe I'm saying this, is it really needed a car. A nice period black and white police cruiser. It would have added that play element to an otherwise very static model. And yes I know AFOL fans of the Modulars complain about cars. Please stop listening to us. There is a time and place for a nice matching vehicle, and this set was it. If not as part of the set offer it as a "free with purchase promotion vehicle.
Anyway I cannot recomend this Police Station enough. It's a set we've long asked for. And while it's design is a bit more northern Europe than classic New York City, it's fine.

Awesome set however a few missing pieces
on October 1, 2021

I love the design and series that this set has. It is a amazing experience seeing how the design of the different lego pieces get put together such as the staircase and the exterior of the build such as the architecture in the windows and the way the slanted pieces come together in the pillar. However there were a couple missing pieces from my set. Most notable were a 1 by 2 purple piece that goes in the second story and a 1 by 4 black piece for the roof on the right side along with a few other studs that are easily replaced with the extra pieces from the other bags. This is my first time I’ve ever gotten anything missing and it is a really big bummer having to look for pieces from my other lego sets to replace with to complete the police station.

Poor instructions !!!!!!

First off the building is awesome. The set is nicely decorated and very detailed . But the instructions are horrible. The black pages make it quite difficult to see the brown bricks. Lego should really consider Revising the booklet. Hopefully lego will pay a little more attention to things like this in future sets.
