Great, Safe Place for a Newborn

We have tried the mamaRoo Sleep Bassinet for several weeks now, for our currently 7 week old daughter. We prefer sleeping in the same room as our newborn, so the bassinet was in the room with us. I will say it was super easy to put together, with instructions on the bassinet itself and not many pieces to put together. My favorite is probably the mesh sides, being able to see her sleeping from bed, and we could adjust the motion using our phones for an even easier interface. This was especially nice as a c-section mama where it was hard to get in and out of bed. It was easy to reach her from bed in the bassinet, although it made it kind of difficult to get out of bed with the bassinet blocking me, I would have to slide down to the end of the bed to get out (this would’ve been impossible the first week after my c-section). The mesh sides also have space between 2 layers, and I liked that because it makes it feel even safer if baby ends up sleeping with her mouth against the mesh side, there would already be a gap. This combined with the firm mattress makes this a wonderful bassinet to have your baby sleep close by to you, without being in your bed. This was very important to us as we wanted to follow safe sleep practices, but know how easy it is to forego when getting through those first sleepless weeks. The motions (tree swing worked best for our baby) have been great to help keep her asleep on average 1 hour longer than she was without the bassinet, but I truly believe this will improve in the next few weeks, as a newborn can’t go long without eating so she would be up often anyways. Overall, I’d say that having this bassinet allowed our baby to sleep longer, which means we got to as well! I definitely woke up less in the middle of the night worried about my baby than I did with my first (when we coslept), so I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to cosleep but wants to follow safer sleep practices. Love the motion options and the app!

I was given this bassinet to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I loved all the motion options, my little guys favorite is car ride. The noise options are great too. They helped keep him asleep with all the older sibling noise going on. I liked being able to start the motion and sound from my phone app. So convenient, and helped baby calm down quickly, even from a different room. The mesh sides made it easier to monitor him and see him clearly too. While not a miracle, newborns sleep is still a struggle, it was a huge help to have a safe place to put baby with motions and sound that would soothe him.

Cadillac of Bassinets

The 4moms mamaRoo Sleep Bassinet exceeded my expectations! It was very simple to assemble and is easy to use with the control panel or the app. The mesh sides are slightly difficult to see through because it is two layers with a gap in between, but I have no concerns about airflow to my daughter. The extra height risers are great for getting the bassinet up to the height of a higher bed or keeping the baby out of reach of older siblings. I put the bassinet in our living room and primarily use the bassinet for naps. The "car ride" motion is great for getting my daughter settled down to sleep and helps her stay asleep for naps. I really like the storage basket that attaches under the bassinet. It offers a great place to store extra sheets, blankets, burp cloths, and pacifiers, especially because we are using it outside the nursery. Overall, the clean design, compact size, thoughtful features, and ease of use make this a great addition to a new parent arsenal to make life with a new baby easier! Thank you to the Stellar Products Testing Panel for providing me with this bassinet.

The mamaRoo sleep bassinet is pretty amazing. It’s pretty much a combination of the cult favorite mamaRoo and a safe, flat bassinet. I felt like for once, I didn’t have to choose between adhering to safe sleeping recommendations while still giving my baby a comfortable place to rest.
I was a little unsure of this idea at first because I spent 17 years as a professional nanny and I’ve seen how hard it can be to move babies out of bassinets into flat, boring, cribs that make them feel isolated. It’s hard. How much harder would it be to randomly tell your mini toddler, “I know you’ve slept in a mesmerizing contraption that has done all the work for you for just about a year, but now go sleep in a hard basic crib.” Maybe technology wasn’t helping us here.
But then my 4 week old preemie started screaming one day. I fed him, changed him, held him... he was not happy. I figured I could at least try the mamaRoo bassinet and what happened next shocked me. I laid him in with the bassinet set on a basic motion at a slow speed. His cries turned to little fusses right before my eyes. He yawned a couple of times. He moved to get comfy and looked at me, so calm, as if to say, “Wow, Mom! This is so relaxing and it makes me very happy!” As a sleep deprived parent, I’m now obsessed with this thing. If I need to blow dry my hair or function as a real lady vs. a new mama, into the mamaRoo he goes. I’m honestly shocked what this little contraption does for him. My husband jokes that he needs one for himself. (And for that matter, I do, too!)
Also, I love the mesh sides so I can see my baby, I love how the sheet is washable, and I loooove the storage bin underneath. I think this product may just revolutionize bedtime.

Hands down, best bassinet out there!

I cannot say enough good things about this bassinet! It has every possible feature you could ever need for both you and your new baby to get a good nights sleep. There are five different motion settings, five different speeds, vibration, and music with adjustable volume. Kangaroo, speed two with vibration is the sweet spot for my babe! It works like a charm every time and I am able to lay him down sleepy and he dozes off on his own. Most importantly the flat sleeping surface and mesh siding provide a safe sleeping space for my son and make it easy to see him as well, both of which are very important features allowing me one less thing to worry about.
At first, to be honest, I was skeptical of the app that works with the bassinet thinking there wouldn’t be any need for me to use it when I could easily change the settings on the bassinet itself, however, I was very wrong. Using the app allows me to change the settings easily from my phone without having to risk my son seeing me and waking him up. The app also has a timer to allow you to decide how long you want the motions, music, etc to last. For some babies the motion is only necessary to sooth to sleep while other times it might be more helpful to keep them asleep longer. The bassinet itself is also a great size, not too bulky, fits great into any space, and is easy to move as well. The storage basket at the bottom is a great way to store diapers, wipes, burp clothes, extra clothes, etc for those middle of then night feeds and changes without taking up even more space.
Five and a half years ago my first baby was born and she was a terrible sleeper. The only time she ever slept decently was in her (original) MamaRoo infant seat. Had this MamaRoo sleep bassinet been on the market back then life would have been so much easier. You can imagine my excitement when I received this bassinet as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel in time to use with my third baby. My husband said he hasn’t seen me so excited in a long time. My only complaint is that this wasn’t made years ago for my older two babes to sleep in. I would buy this bassinet in a heartbeat and would recommend it, hands down, to anyone I know having a baby!

Restful Nights for them and you!

I absolutely love this product! I received the Mamaroo Bassinet from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
I live in a small apartment so a more compact bassinet like this one helped save space.
It really helped on those restless nights with my 3 month old, the motions did wonders to calm and soothe her right to sleep! The flat pad and mesh sides were great for waking up and peeking in at her as well. It definitely has met my safe sleeping standards in a sleeper.
The app is a great idea but unfortunately I wasn’t able to get it to work properly, it may have been only due to the fact that the app was still in beta testing mode. It may work better for other moms. I mainly used the manual buttons to adjust the motions.
The mamaroo sleep bassinet has met and exceeded all my sleeping expectations, not only does she sleep better but so do I knowing she resting well and safe!

Versatile features in a compact bassinet!

I was excited to try this bassinet for my newborn, especially since we have enjoyed the mamaRoo rockaRoo swing with both my newborn and toddler (when she was an infant). Both products are very easy to use, with easy on and off buttons for one handed use! They have the same sounds and motions as well. Both of my daughters like the tree swing motion. For the bassinet specifically, I felt very comforted by the mesh sides and firm surface, as sleep safety is a huge priority. Although the bassinet did not instantly improve my daughter’s sleep, she does generally seem to feel comfortable in it and has had some good overnight stretches which any new parent can appreciate! I really like the vibrate feature, as the bassinet can vibrate independent of any other motion, and that is great. The only feature which I would improve upon is the volume, as even the quietest sound machine setting is a bit loud for my taste. I definitely recommend this bassinet since it is high tech, does not take up a lot of space, has many options for motion and sound, and can be adjusted for height. It also has storage space underneath and does not take up a great amount of space! I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Love everything about this bassinet

I received this from WeeSpring Stellar panels in return of my review of this bassinet. I don’t have anything to critique on this bassinet! As a mom of 3, sleep is valuable. And this bassinet helps in just that for my 6 week old baby. She loves the car motion. The bassinet comes with several motions, and white noise effects, it even has a vibration effect. It’s simple and easy to set up and use, also had safe mesh sides. The bassinet even hooks up to the Bluetooth on my phone through an app. Really is an awesome bassinet.
