A second set of hands

Coming home from the hospital, the mamaRoo sleep bassinet was an extra set of hands welcoming our twins. The varying motions, speeds, vibrations, and white noise basically mimicked another human being that would rock one of our littles back to sleep when my husband or I were with them by ourselves. We used it less as a bassinet and more of an aid to help sooth one of our littles. The varying motions is a huge benefit and being able to increase or decrease speed allowed us to customize their level of soothing. It seemed as though both were a fan of the car ride and wave setting. I thought the white noise was plenty loud in a level one and can’t imagine going any additional levels higher. Easy to put together, wish it was easier to move wi one person but it’s quite bulky but lightweight. Also, the app was easy to use, set up, adjust, and made life easier. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bassinet.

manaRoo sleep bassinet puts us to sleep

Loving this bassinet! And everyone who sees it is impressed. It looks futuristic and modern. It was very easy to set up - I did it by myself within minutes - no tools needed. The hardest part was opening the box it came in! It’s also lightweight, so it was easy to carry up the stairs and move around when i’m vacuuming. I had one concern while setting it up - the height. My bed is very low profile and my precious bassinet was too tall for me to be comfortable. Luckily, the mamaRoo sleep bassinet is easy to adjust to make it shorter - simply remove a piece in the legs. It’s the perfect height - the touchscreen is at bed level and I can easily see my daughter through the mesh.
The features are amazing. There are so many options to make my daughter comfortable enough to sleep. With several motions (and speeds), vibration, and white noise it’s easy to find a suitable combination. We started off with using the motion we use to rock her ourselves, the kangaroo. We slowly upped the speed - she likes it at level 3. And we added vibration which is so subtle and quiet. Sometimes we use the white noise - husband always chooses the ocean waves. At night I’ll use the app to set the timer so I don’t need to worry about turning the bassinet off. Our daughter is usually out within minutes. She really enjoys the car ride motion as well. The app makes it easy to control from the other side of the room while I’m cleaning as well - no need to climb over the mess I’ve made!
The only negative that I have, which isn’t a deal breaker, is that you can’t push the side down to reach in like another brand bassinet. Since the height is lower, I can just reach up and in. The mesh is easy to see through, so I’m happy. As a first time parent, I’m guilty of watching her sleep to make sure she’s breathing. A great relief is the flat surface and that even with motion my daughter doesn’t roll around. This makes it easy for me to fall asleep instead of keeping myself up all night.
Overall, I love this bassinet. I don’t use the features every time I put my daughter in it, but with the flat surface, mesh sides, lightweight build, and perfect height it works like a charm for us. The features are the bonus to soothe a baby, which sometimes you just need when they won’t stop wiggling around like a little gremlin that doesn’t want to sleep! Love the app!

We received this product as a result of the Stellar parent panel. We were excited try out a bassinet that could assist in my husband and I getting more sleep! Overall, we were very impressed. Safety is our number one priority, so we were so happy with the flat and firm surface. As well as, the mesh sides so we could see through easily. The size was great because it fit perfectly right next to our bed. I was a little disappointed on the length of the bassinet. My son is only 13lbs but he is long and we won’t be able to use it much longer. We liked most of the motions but some seemed repetitive. We LOVED that we could control everything from the app. We were able to calm him without having to go in the room to disturb him. This alone is worth any price!!!! Our sons favorite feature was the vibrate. He struggles with gas, so I feel like it helped settle his little tummy. I also loved that the sheet is easy to take off and through in the wash. I would recommend getting another sheet so that you have one while the other is in the wash. Overall, we feel like it is a great purchase. Sleep is such a premium when you have a newborn and this bassinet definitely helped us get more!

Sleek bassinet with awesome extra features

Love this bassinet. Here’s why:
1. It has mesh sides so I can literally see straight in and see my baby girl without getting up from bed at all. It also has adjustable leg heights so you can make sure it’s the height you want/need. Love that. It also is a flat, hard (not uncomfortably hard) surface so I was never worried about her safety.
2. The vibrate function has been awesome for us. My little girl loves it and I really think it’s helped her sleep. She sleeps so much better than my son did, doing 4-5 hour stretches at night and solid 1-1.5 hr naps
3. The motions are fun and helpful for nap time. I’m convinced it calms her and helps her before taking a nap. I never put it faster than the second speed but she’s also still really young so maybe would help in the future.

I didn’t use the app much bc I’m always near when she’s in it but it could be helpful if you change modes at night from bed.

Beautiful Bassinet

I received this bassinet from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to try. The bassinet is very easy to assemble and get setup. It took me longer to open the box than it did to put it together. Once put together it looks very modern, so if you are worried about it fitting with your decor keep that in mind. The mattress is firm but thin, although my baby did t seem to mind. The storage basket holds diapers wipes and sleepers nicely. The first few days/nights was a trial to find the right motion and sound. We ended up sticking with our current sound machine since he was used to that, but I do like that it has the option built in. I wish there were more choices for sounds or that you could play other sounds through Bluetooth. My son’s favorite motion is the rock a bye on level 3 or none at all. I liked everything about this bassinet except a couple of things. The first is that the Bluetooth drops off if you leave the room or after a couple mins. So when I’m in the living room and he’s started to fuss I can’t kick up the speed or turn vibration or sound on. I had to go in the room and reconnect. This was frustrating when we were trying to get him to sleep and he would wake up shortly after and we just wanted to try a different motion, add vibration, etc.
The second thing that I dislike is it’s a little awkward to move around. We put it together on one room and had to move to our bedroom. It was odd to move by myself so I needed someone to help. It’s not terribly heavy, just a weird shape.
These are 2 minor things, overall it’s a great bassinet. Definitely a must if you have a baby that loves motion to help sleep.

Must Have Bassinet

The mamaRoo sleep bassinet is absolutely wonderful. The bassinet was very simple to assemble with easy to understand instructions. You can connect it to your phone easily and the app is not complicated to navigate. I love that you can control all of the motions with different speeds and sounds from your phone and from the touch panel on the bassinet. The touch panel softly lights up so it doesn’t interfere with sleep. My baby likes the car ride and kangaroo motion they seem to keep him calm and soothed for a while. The sounds are ok on this bassinet, I was a bit disappointed with the fact that there was no music and it’s all white noise. I have 5 kids so white noise is just way too annoying in my house. The bassinet gives you the option of two different heights. I love the taller height so your not bending over too far. I found this bassinet is very sturdy and well made, nothing seems cheap or flimsy. It has great mesh siding all the way around so no matter what angle you look at the baby from you can see into the bassinet. It also has a very strong flat mattress so there is no need to worry about your baby suffocating. Everything including the mesh siding is washable and that’s a big plus! This bassinet is made to last and I wish I had it with all of my other children. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me and my baby this bassinet to try out!

We’re in love with this bassinet!!!

I received this amazing MamaRoo Sleep Bassinet from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to test and review!
I was super excited to give it a go and I was nowhere near disappointed!! Where do I start?! First of all, this smart bassinet is very cool! It’s lovely to look at and I love all the motions, sounds and vibrations that are available to soothe our baby girl to sleep. The touch screen panel is a great feature as well! The claim that it will get her to sleep faster and have her stay asleep longer was absolutely true in our case.
She would normally wake up at 6am like clockwork everyday but since using this bassinet she has been waking anywhere between 7am-9:30am!! She seems to really enjoy the car ride motion on its first setting. We also use the vibration feature for added soothing. The shh sound is my go to because that’s something we do naturally and it calms her pretty quickly.
The firm sleep surface and mesh sides definitely gave me peace of mind. I‘m confident that she’s in a safe environment that follows safe sleep guidelines when she’s in it. The mesh is doubled so it isn’t the easiest to see through but it’s enough to be able to glance at her throughout the night in dim lighting.
The ability to adjust the height was awesome! We have a low profile platform bed and I absolutely needed the bassinet to be in the the lowest setting so I could easily get her in and out while still in bed. It was very fast and easy to remove the extenders.
It isn’t as heavy as it looks! It has some weight but it’s pretty easy to move around. I keep it next to me at night and in its own little corner of my room during the day. I also like that it plugs in from underneath the unit.
The storage basket is extremely convenient and very simple to install. It’s nice to not have to use my nightstand to store her essentials for the night!
One of the coolest features is the app! I love that I can control the bassinet from my phone! I can be in the kitchen doing dishes and change the settings right from the sink while she’s in the bedroom napping! The app is also very easy to navigate.
One thing I would love to see 4moms work on is the noise level when the bassinet is in motion. It isn’t super loud but it’s more noticeable than I would have expected. It kind of like white noise but a noise I could do without, if that makes sense. It isn’t a deal breaker though!
My favorite part of this bassinet is that it gives hubby and I a little bit more sleep because that’s so hard to come by when your raising 2 beautiful girls under 2 years old!! We’re sold! I highly recommend it!!

A nap time made in heaven!

I was given the opportunity to test the MamaRoo sleep bassinet by the Stellar Product Testing Panel and this product is truly "stellar". I am a home daycare provider and mom of 3 and having quality sleep spaces is crucial to a good day in my house. Of all the bassinets I have ever tried, this one is definitely the front runner. I love that there are 5 different motions to choose from and that the speed of the motion is adjustable. My 4 week old loves the "car ride" motion at a level 3 to help lull her to sleep, especially during the day. I love the "kangaroo" setting on level 4 when I need to put her down in a safe space throughout the day. I love the mesh sides because I can see her at all times. I sleep so much better because the multiple motion settings allow me to soothe her back to sleep without having to get up and without picking her up. My 3 month old niece loves the "wave" setting on level 2 to sleep and "kangaroo" setting on a level 5 when awake. It's great that it is customizable as all babies have different preferences. The sound settings are also a lifesaver to help drown out the noise of multiple other toddlers. I also love that the height is adjustable and the storage basket underneath holds everything I need from extra sheets to diapers.
One downside is that it is somewhat cumbersome to move from room to room as it's heavier than other sleep gear and doesn't have wheels. Another big drawback for me is that it has to be plugged in. I am unable to put it in the ideal location because I don't have an outlet near. 4Moms has an app that does come in handy sometimes but I honestly don't find that I need to use it very often. It is just as easy for me to walk over and change the settings as needed because our bedroom is right off our main living space. I don't keep my phone in the bedroom at night either so I don't use it.
Overall this is the best bassinet I've ever used when it comes to soothing the baby and helping everyone sleep better.
