Great product, could use some tweaks

Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bassinet to try and review. The mamaRoo sleep Bassinet is a great product but I believe it could use a few adjustments that would make it even better.
We have been using this in our bedroom with our newborn and found the motions to be a bit harsh and jarring for her age. Sometimes the movements would wake her up or keep her awake, rather than soothing her back to sleep. We found the car ride motion on the lowest setting or just the simple vibrate function to be our favorites. I also thought the sounds were too loud, even on the lowest setting. The unit itself is a little bulky and "table like" - which takes up quite a bit of space in our room. However, it is very sturdy and I don't fear the the bassinet will tip or fall during the night, which puts my mind at ease. I also wish the mattress was a touch softer, it seems quite uncomfortable to sleep on.
What I really like about the bassinet is the ability to change the setting right from my phone (will come in handy as we move it further from our bed), the adjustable height, the wide opening, and mesh sides. It gives me such peace of mind that if our daughter were to roll over or turn her head, she would be safe and able to breathe. The mesh sides also allow me to see in the bassinet without disturbing her. Another feature I really like is the basket underneath - we used this to store diapers, wipes, extra swaddle blankets, and outfits (perfect for middle of the night changes) without being "in the way".
I do like this bassinet and would recommend it, but think it could be improved with smoother motions and sounds.

Love this bassinet!!

This bassinet was a life saver for our babies sleep, my only regret is not having it from the moment we brought him home. The built in white noise and vibration are great features and the motion options truly helped sooth him back to sleep after middle of the night wakings. The volume on the white noise is a bit high, we never put it past level 1. I appreciated the neutral color and design which fit into our bedroom decor as I'm not a fan of the the more brightly colored baby gear. I like the touch control panel but do wish the back light shut off a bit sooner as it's very bright in a completely dark room. Overall we love this product. It serves the basic purpose of a safe, bedside sleeper for baby with lots of bells and whistles! Definitely recommend! We did receive this product as part of the stellar product testing panel.

Sleeping baby

As part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I received the MamaRoo Sleep Bassinet and I absolutely love it! Previously I was using a standard bassinet and my newborn wasn’t sleeping for long stretches at night. Now that we use the mamaRoo Sleep Bassinet, my 6 week old will sleep for 4+ hour stretches at night allowing me to sleep!
We found that the vibration setting was really soothing for her and calmed her right now. We would also combine it with the “tree swing” motion and occasionally the “fan” noise.
After a late night feeding, I am able to set her in the bassinet awake, turn on her favorite settings and then set a timer from the mobile app so that the mamaRoo turns off after 25 minutes. That way I can fall asleep knowing that she is or will be sound asleep.
I also love that I can be laying in bed and simply open my eyes to see her through the mesh sides.
Life with the mamaRoo Sleep is so much better!

Helpful and soothing

We're loving our MamaRoo Sleep!
My baby girl is getting the sleep she needs, thanks to her new bassinet! I love the 5 different motions and speeds. It's my favorite feature. My baby can be rocked to sleep similar to a car ride or a tree swing! My favorite sound is the shushing sound. It's thr sound I make while putting her to sleep.
I don't like that it is a little loud while going into sleep mode or turning off. Also at time the motions are a little too fast, as that make her jump. Even at 1 sometimes it's a little too much for her. Also the app didn't work for me.

Exciting new bassinet!

I really love this bassinet. It has been such a fun new product for us to use with our daughter. I think it is really well made, and is unbelievably sleek looking. It has been by far the easiest baby product that we have put together. It requires no tools and took us five minutes, even with a very eager to help toddler running around! The bassinet motor is very quiet and smooth. The white noise options are such a nice addition, and I love that you can control the volume. It’s also so nice that there are multiple speed settings for the bassinet. My baby loves to move, and I think she really enjoys being in it. I will say that it is a large footprint, so for us it works best to not he directly next to our bed. It is really sturdy, and I feel so comfortable having her in it. My daughter has been really happy to chill in it on the kangaroo setting while I clean up and get things done too! It’s nice that it’s kind of like having a bassinet and swing in one. The mesh is awesome for visibility, and it is a nice size so that she won’t outgrow it too quickly. We worry so much so having the great airflow and visibility is one of the most important things we are looking for. My 12 week old has plenty of room too. This bassinet feels really well made. The phone app is nice because I frequently forget to turn it off, and can do so without moving. It’s really nice to have an app where you can control it without moving! I think my favorite feature of this bassinet is having so many comfort options while still being safe for sleep! We were thrilled to receive this product to try through the Stellar Product Testing Panel!

Brilliant! Worked like a charm

This bassinet worked great to it only calm our infant, but also allow her to have longer sleep intervals. When we first would notice fussing in the night we could grab our phone turn on the soothing motions or use the vibration feature to get her back to sleep without having to get out of bed. We also loved the noise machine function. We found ourselves leaving it on for us to fall asleep to. It was nice to have the option to adjust the height as we were able find the right height for us to easily place and remove our daughter without strain.
Overall just a really great product. Sleep is precious with a toddler and infant so the fact that this helped us get more is 2 thumbs up in my book.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel, myself and my little one were able to try out the mamaRoo sleep bassinet. I must say, this bassinet is marvelous! Upon receiving the product, I was amazed with the packaging. Additionally the assembly of the product was easy as well. Probably took me a total of 7 minutes or less, not exaggerating either! Moving in to the actual product itself, I don’t even know where to begin! The height of the bassinet is perfect it our bed. It allows me to have easy access to my little one without having to bend over too much or having him too high to get him. The mesh sides allowed me to see my little one no matter where I was, not just having to look over top of it. The motions that the mamaRoo sleep bassinet offered were amazing, allowing my baby to soothe easily with the motions- his favorite being the tree swing. I also like the different speeds of the motions, allowong for a slow movement to a little faster pace. Additionally, the flat, firm surface allowed my little one to sleep soundly, and allowed me to be at ease when he was sleeping, knowing that he was safe. Lastly, the app features was an added bonus. It allows me to have easy access to the bassinet and had me make changes to it when necessary.
All in all, this bassinet is wonderful! It allows me as a worrying mama to not have to worry about my babe when they’re sleeping knowing that they are laying flat and has the breathable mesh sides-which is my favorite part!

A good investment even for sleep training parents

My husband and I love this bassinet sent to us by the Stellar Review Program! It is extremely easy to assembly and the clean lines and sturdy design had me hooked from the first look. The removable, hanging storage basket is incredibly useful and I like to keep my nursing pillow stashed in there. The mesh sides give me extreme peace of mind since I've seen my babies cram their faces into the sides of bassinets time and time again. My little girl seemed super comfy on the firm mattress, and the motions and sounds were soothing to her. I wasn't sure how I would like having a bassinet that rocks her to sleep since I plan to sleep train when she's older and self-soothing is important in that process, but I don't feel like it has worked against us at all. The app makes it easy to use from another room and I can turn it off or set a timer so she doesn't grow used to constant motion to keep her asleep.
I can also prop her up in it on the nursing pillow (during the day!) and it doubles as a kind of swing- win!

1) I wish it were easier to adjust the leg height. As it is now you remove a section of the leg to make it shorter which limits the customization of height. And, if you want to move it from room to room (think from bed-side to couch-side) you're stuck with one height or another.
2) While it is lightweight, moving it isn't a dream since there are no wheels. I can't speak to how much it may or may not drag on carpet but it would scratch my laminate wood floors if I slid it. It is cumbersome to pick up by myself but can be done.
But those are both non-issues if you aren't needing to move it frequently!

The vibration function on the unit I was sent started sounding like it was rattling so I contacted customer service and they resolved the issue right away by sending me a new unit and requesting I send the rattling unit back for their engineers to test and troubleshoot.
All in all I am so pleased with this product and it has made me excited to look into other products from the 4Moms brand!
