This bassinet is amazing and out of 8 kids I have used a lot of different ones. This os by far my favorite and I highly recommend. From the motions to using an app it is great. I received this from the Steller Product Testing Panel and I 10/10 would purchase. It has height adjustments on the legs which is great if you're taller than me lol. Im short so the normal height is perfect. Very easy to set up. I like how the cord is plugged underneath and has spots for the cord on the legs to keep from getting tangled and tripped over. The sounds are pretty good and much stronger and cleaner than others. It goes pretty loud but we didn't need it that high. My son loved the rain and at 1 or 2 level. He also loved the car ride motion but at its highest. All the motions are pretty good. The issue I had was sometimes the bassinet would make a noise and sometimes it was loud. My husband made a comment about it because he didn't know what it was. It didn't do that the first couple times we used it. Outside of that it has helped keeping little one calm and sleeping and therefore we are able to sleep. I like the app. It really helps if you are cooking, in the bathroom, busy with another child, etc so it is easy to use to calm little one. Also you gotta love the mesh sides so you can see and little one can see out. I really love this bassinet and highly recommend! You won't be disappointed!

I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. I was skeptical at first when receiving this since my first born wasn't a huge fan of the mamaRoo, and my second born wasn't a huge fan of lying flat on his back in a bassinet. To my surprise, he's able to fall asleep in the mamaRoo sleep Bassinet swaddled or unswaddled (depending on his mood). For that alone, this product gets 5 stars! His favorite settings are car ride and rock a bye, and needs it on the 3 speed to really settle him if he gets agitated. I love the ability to play different sounds, but I haven't needed to use that feature yet since there's plenty of background noise in the room.
The bassinet was incredibly easy and quick to set up. Once plugged in, I downloaded the app and connected it to the bassinet without any problems. The app is especially helpful when the hubby or I have to pick him up in a hurry if he's crying and needs to be fed and forget to press the power button on it. It's also helpful when friendly toddler hands press buttons on it (luckily, there's also a control lock feature on the bassinet to prevent this from happening).
I love the design of this bassinet, with the mesh sides so I can keep an eye on my baby while he's sleeping. I don't worry so much while he's in here because the mesh sides allow for good airflow and he can breathe!
While this didn't replace my baby's night time bed/sleep device, it easily could. It's definitely a game changer for sleep devices. I use this in the living room and put him in here to sleep around noise to hopefully get him used to all sorts of sounds, and I'm able to get things done, which is a major plus. I wasn't able to put him down in the living room before I had this. Love, love, love this bassinet!
Though I'm rating this 5 stars, there are a couple minor things to be made aware:
1) there's no mobile. TINY detail, but it would have been nice if it came with one like the mamaRoo does; and
2) it makes a loud noise every time it comes back from whatever motion it's on. Not the biggest deal since I think it helps calm my baby down sometimes, but it can get annoying.

Great bassinet with unique features!

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bassinet. I was so excited to try it out because I was having such a hard time getting my little man to sleep well in other bassinets I tried. Here are a few wonderful features of this bassinet:
—Ability to control settings from my phone, very high tech which is a big win for my husband and I. Have not experienced any app glitches. When I’d hear baby crying, I’d switch the setting of swing motion, speed and sound from my phone to see what works best for him. You eventually figure out babies preference on what soothes them after a couple days. In addition, it’s nice that you can set a timer.
—Height adjustable. This is crucial for petite women!
—Sleek design, good quality and lightweight, but does not sacrifice in quality.
Love the storage basket on the bottom.
—Spacious bassinet so baby won’t outgrow it too quickly.
—Mattress is firm and flat with breathable mesh sides which provides comfort to any parent for following safe sleep guidelines. Waterproof mattress pad that’s easy to clean.
—Overall, my baby does sleep better (especially at night) after using this bassinet. I used to rock and sway my first son for over half an hour at times to get him to sleep. Because this bassinet mimics similar motions, there is much less carrying required by us which has been a life saver!

Overall a great product

I was given this bassinet to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and have been using it with my newborn. So far, we’ve really enjoyed using it. It’s super easy to put together which is a huge plus. It looks really sleek, and we really loved the storage basket that is located under the bassinet. It’s great for overnight sleep or for naps because it’s totally flat, but I think it’s unique in that you can set the bassinet to move with several different motions/speeds, and it also plays sounds. We definitely found this soothing for our newborn. I guess my only concern is that I might create a situation where he would only sleep with the movement, and once he’s outgrown the bassinet, we wouldn’t have the same option with his crib. But it is a nice feature.
There is also an app you can use to set the movement/sound via Bluetooth. We haven’t used this feature that much yet, but I can see it would be a great option if you wanted to be able to start/change the movement without going into the room where the baby is sleeping (never wake a sleeping baby!!).
Overall, we really like the product. I love the mesh sides so you can easily see your baby - that helps with peace of mind. One comment I have is that the footprint of the base is quite large - definitely larger than similar products. Something to consider if it was going to be used in a smaller bedroom.

Literally saved my back

As a mother, having enough rest is a necessity to take care of my newborn and an active toddler. I had to wear/use baby carrier as my infant didn't like sleeping on his back and would wake up after 20 minutes. It was exhausting running after my toddler and doing chores while wearing my 12 lb. infant. Enter the mamaRoo Sleep Bassinet. It was literally a lifesaver.
PROS : My baby loves the motions, especially the Car Ride and Vibration, and he can finally sleep on his back for longer time. The bassinet's legs can be adjusted to desired height and I placed the bassinet beside the bed so I can easily reach for my baby when he's fussy without getting up. I'm assured because my baby is sleeping on a flat, firm surface and the mesh sides allow me to see him clearly. Because of those, I can sleep more peacefully and we both sleep longer time. Bonus is the basket that has ample space to store things under the bassinet. Also, the bassinet doesn't take up much space in our small bedroom.
CONS : I wasn't able to pair the bassinet with my phone. I tried several times, to no avail. It would've enabled me to control the settings from my phone, otherwise the unit shuts off after 4 hours. When it does, I just turn it on again from my bedside and I didn't have to stand up. Truthfully, it wasn't a dealbreaker. I didn't care much for the sound and volume options. My baby prefers the music I play from my phone. That's why I still give it 5 stars.
I received this bassinet to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and this has not affected my review in anyway.

Great bassinet with sleek design

The mamaroo bassinet looks gorgeous and is a great option for a newborn. It’s wider than others on the market as well so baby can be in it longer.
The option of motions and sounds was great to soothe baby to sleep, and the fact that the sides are breathable and the surface is firm as per guidelines helps to keep worries at bay.
Being able to adjust the settings, sounds and motions through the app, without having to get out of bed or off the couch was also a fabulous feature.
The few things I would add to make this absolutely perfect would be:
1. A retractable cover to be able to shield baby from light
2. An ocean waves sound option
3. Wheels for easier movement from room to room
4. A cuddle insert for younger/smaller babies and newborns

Our mamaRoo sleep bassinet experience

I am a first-time mom, and I thoroughly research all of my products before buying or trying them. For our family, safety is first, so all the bassinets we use, needed to have a flat, firm surface and breathable materials. mamaRoo has all these characteristics and the plus of mesh sides.
We got the mamaRoo sleep bassinet when my baby was four weeks old, after unsuccessfully trying two bassinets.
I have to say that the first day I used the mamaRoo bassinet was the first time I was able to cook something “real” for dinner and not just fix a sandwich. My baby was significantly calmer on mamaRoo bassinet than in the other ones, even when awake.
Movement features and sounds help soothe and stay sleep for longer, before having it I used my cellphone to play calming sounds such as rain and the famous “shh,” using my cellphone was annoying and impractical but the only solution that I found partially useful at that point.
I really like that the mamaRoo bassinet has 4 points of support instead of just one.
I love that you can control the features (sounds, movements and duration) through an app! This has been useful at night, saving extra time by letting me stay in bed, and while in other room, avoiding baby realized I was near her.
Downsides for me on this product are: I can not use the movement feature at the same time with baby monitor (our monitor tracks the movements on the crib and send us alerts)
I do not like that the turn-on/off button is always “on” and that when you turn off the movements, there is a “cooling-like” sound for a few minutes.
Love the way the mamaRoo sleep bassinet looks are my room and the storage basket has been extra helpful, I put there all the things I may need at night so that I can reach them easily.
In a few words, mamaRoo sleep bassinet has more options that help your baby (and household) sleep better, it won’t change the fact you have a baby at home, and she/he will awake at night, but makes a difference in the quality of sleeping that you can get! Worth every penny and will save you some money on soothing-sound machines or devices.

Absolutely love this bassinet. (Used with my month old son) I liked the mesh on the side because I could look at my son without having to get up every 5 minute. Which is also why I liked that I could change the speed&sound from the app. My sons favorite speed was the tree swing. Right when I put him down we would put the speed up high and once I knew he was fully asleep I would move it down. The one thing I did not like was how loud the sound was. I normally kept it at a 1 (out of 4) because if I moved it up any higher it was extremly too loud near my babies ear.
