Safe sleep without sacrificing beauty

I recently had my second child and seriously stressed about what my baby would sleep in when we brought her home from the hospital for the better part of my pregnancy. What I used for my first child was recalled after numerous infant deaths and that scared me and made me really examine every bassinet, cradle, etc for safe sleep protocols. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bassinet; it has not only met safe sleep protocols, it has given me peace of mind, improved my sleep and my newborn’s sleep and elevated our room’s style.
The mamaRoo sleep bassinet features five different rocking motions, and one vibrating feature, all of which can be increased in speed. It also includes four realistic sounds (no more electronic loop that drives you crazy). But my favorite feature is the built in timer, so I can set a motion and sound to help my baby fall asleep, or stay asleep, or a sound to help drown out normal noises.
The mamaRoo sleep bassinet features five different rocking motions, and one vibrating feature, all of which can be increased in speed. The motions of the mamaRoo are so much better than the traditional back and forth motions that most bouncer seats and cradles provide. When you’re holding your baby, you’re constantly changing your motion, direction and speed, and this bassinet allows you to mimic that change of speed and pattern of motion. Normal rocking is too monotonous for a fussy infant, so the ability to switch up the motions made soothing my baby easier. Sometimes when my baby is overly tired, the fast swing style and kangaroo motion really help to distract her and get her to calm down. Other times, when she is in between sleep cycles, or right after a night feeding, the vibrate feature and low setting white noise is all it takes to lull her back to sleep. And those are just two of the many combinations I use every day. It’s so nice to have different rocking motions, different speeds and different sounds (with adjustable volume) to select from. This is so much more ingenious than the typical limited lullaby and rocking features in other bassinets.
For my first child, I used a sleeper with an incline which was later recalled. I was completely unaware of how dangerous they were for infants. After the recall, I was horrified that I had used it for so long. When I became pregnant again, I was so stressed about trying to find something safe for my baby to sleep in before she moves into her own room and crib. Once I saw the construction of this bassinet, I had total confidence in its safety; it gives me peace of mind knowing that the mattress is completely flat and firm, and the mesh sides have no corners or places that could obstruct breathing. I was a little worried about my baby rolling into one of the sides and not being able to breathe, but once I received the bassinet and set it up, I could tell that there were no areas where her breathing would be obstructed. The mesh sides are doubled so it provides slight light filtering, but would not prevent air flow if a baby was pressed directly against it. The oval shape also prevents any weird spots that a baby could get wedged in, again - peace of mind.
I love that the motions, even in the fastest speed, are never strong enough to physically move my baby. She feels the motions, but her little body is never rocked from being flat on her back. Another thing that is different (and so much better) about this bassinet is that when you don’t have any motion setting turned on it is completely stable: no wobble like basically every other rocking style bassinet.
I liked the option of using the app, especially the timer function. The app’s timer function really made me feel confident in being able to go back to sleep after a night feeding without worrying that a set motion would end up waking my baby up after initially coaxing her to sleep. I do wish that there was also a timer function on the control panel.
The bassinet as a whole is so sleek and modern looking that it elevated the whole room, which is really nice when you’re sharing your bedroom with your infant. The legs are splayed in a nod to midcentury modern styling, and the finish of the base and legs is eggshell so it doesn’t show fingerprints or dust, and the color is the lightest grey color imaginable - gorgeous. Even though it’s not a safety feature, I really love the accessory basket. It clips onto the legs and has a channel for tucking the electrical cord out of the way - such a smart design. The legs are adjustable; there is a small removable section to make the bassinet lower, but even though I’m only 5’2”, I liked the higher setup.
The mamaRoo sleep bassinet has helped me and my baby through the first two months of wild sleep patterns. This bassinet is gorgeous, but more importantly, it has features that help my baby fall asleep and stay asleep safely, which helps me sleep.

You need this bassinet! Seriously!!

I recieved a new Mamaroo Sleep through the Stellar Product Review Panel in exchange for a review. When I read the description for this brand new bassinet, I was super excited to try it out! Once it arrived, it was a cinch to put together! I didn't time it, but it definitely took less than 10 minutes for it to be unboxed and assembled. The Mamaroo Sleep has such a sleek look and doesn't scream "baby product" like some other bassinets out there. It actually looks nice with the decor in my house! It is height adjustable, which is great because my husband and I are tall people and our bed is pretty high off the ground.
The Mamaroo Sleep has 5 unique motions, 5 speeds, 4 different sounds, a vibration function, a timer, AND it can all be controlled via an app! Seriously, it is amazing. My youngest babe just turned 2 months old and she loves this bassinet! She enjoys all of the motions and sounds, but she sleeps best with the combination of the "car ride" motion on speed 2 & the ocean waves sounds.
The Mamaroo Sleep provides a firm, flat sleep surface that follows the AAP's guidelines for safe sleep. The mesh sides allow airflow and visibility; I can easily see my daughter from all sides of the bassinet!
My favorite feature of the Mamaroo Sleep, for me, is that it can be controlled via the 4Moms app! My sweet babe can tell if I am too close when she's snoozing and she will often wake up if she smells milk or if the floor creaks. It is amazing that I can adjust the settings of the bassinet from a little farther away so she stays sleeping! If she sleeps better, I can sleep better knowing she is safe and comfortable in her Mamaroo Sleep. You are going to love this thing!!

Best Sleep For Us All

For a few weeks now I’ve been using the mamaRoo sleep bassinet and I can’t believe how much my life has changed. My two month old is sleeping better than she ever has and because of that I am also sleeping better. I had used a playard napper and bassinet with my first, but neither made me this happy. I love that my daughter has her own flat sleep space that is a perfect size for her. Along with being just the right size, the mamaRoo sleep bassinet’s mesh sides give me the ability to see her without getting up. They provide a secure barrier and still allow her to breath even if she is right up against the edge. Because the bassinet is centered on the base even with it being right up against my bed the sides are not constricting. I’m much more comfortable because she is safe, but she is sleeping better because of the features. The variety of motions is amazing. I figured they would all be the same, but there is a very clear difference. Almost every night we do the lowest speed car ride motion and she goes right to sleep, however after our middle of the night feeding session she can be more fussy. I love that I can almost blindly select another motion and calm her down. I tend to use the control panel more when she is fussy and the app right after I lay her down. The app has come in handy for selecting the motion as well as the speed. On the control panel you can only advance the speed going past 5 to go back to 1, but with the app it is easy to select any setting. There is also a timer in the app which I don’t use every night, but really do appreciate when I only want to run the bassinet to help lull her to sleep. At first I used the vibrate feature more, but found that running the vibration and motion can sometimes make it more noisy. Once I tried a few nights without, neither one of us really missed it. I will use it if she’s having a particularly colicky night though and it really helps. This bassinet has made my life so much better. Both of us are getting better sleep and even my husband has noticed how much better our nights are going. I did receive this mamaRoo sleep bassinet from the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for a review, but if I had known how much better our nights would go with it I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Answer to prayer

When my husband and I found out we were pregnant with our third (3 kids 3 and under) we thought ‘we’re pros now, we can handle anything’. And then we had had her and realized how wrong we were. Our hardest baby yet, always needing to be held. I guess you would call it colic. So naturally when I heard that that Stellar Product Testing Panel was sending me a bassinet that rocks my baby to sleep I jumped for joy. As soon as I got the box I ripped it open eager to test it out. It was super easy to put together. First thing I noticed was that it was pretty heavy and a little bulky, which isn’t a big deal if you don’t intend to use it to travel with or anything like that. We live in an apartment and it fits perfectly in our master bedroom so it would probably fit well in any room size. It is very modern looking and aesthetically pleasing. It goes great with the neutral decor I have going on in our bedroom. I love that it has mesh siding on the bassinet so that I can see the baby even if I’m laying down and it makes me feel more at ease if she moves around and gets her face pushed up against the side. I don’t have to worry if she’s getting enough air flow. The legs have two height adjustments for different bed heights. The mattress inside the bassinet is nice and firm. I would definitely suggest getting extra sheets because the color of the sheets really shows baby spit up. I loved that the buttons are touch screen and light up so that you can see at night with out turning on any lights. The best part of the bassinet of course is the rocking motions that help ease baby. I love that there are different motions to choose from. After testing them all our baby seems to love the kangaroo and rock a bye best. If I put her in the bassinet with it off and she’s sleeping and starts to get unsettled I can turn it on and it rocks her back to sleep. It has really changed things in our home. Being a mom of 3 I really loving having this bassinet as an extra set of hands to help rock her while doing other mom tasks. I must say I am also very impressed with the sound machine that comes on the bassinet. It is surprisingly loud. I didn’t expect much from it but it is better than the sound machine we already had. And there are different sound to choose but we like the fan the best. There is also i vibration you can turn on but our baby doesn’t seem to care either way about it. One of my favorite things of all is that the bassinet bluetooths to my phone! If I see (on the monitor) the baby rustling around and starting to wake I can adjust the motion however necessary to soothe her back to sleep with out going into the room to adjust it. It is amazing. I would totally suggest this bassinet to any mom. So thankful for more rest for our baby and for us! More physical rest and emotional rest knowing she’s sleeping safely.

The Best In Motion Bassinet

Right out of the box the bassinet is very sleek, extremely modern looking and classy. It fits in with any nursery theme, or bedroom and looks so high tech while still having a simple design! It was very easy to assemble, my husband held the bassinet while I attached the legs. You can also adjust the height but I needed it to be taller as we have a higher bed and I wanted to be able to lift my head and see her. The legs snap in easily, and the product is ready to go once plugged in. I highly recommend registering your product with mamaroo first to get the date and serial number before attaching the underside storage basket as the lettering can be hard to see as it’s small. The basket was quick and easy to assemble, then you just place the mattress in. I love that the mattress feels comfortable without being too soft or too firm. It’s also wonderful that it’s a flat sleeping surface that does not incline so that it’s 100% safe for sleep! The cord is lengthy and gives a decent distance to be able to plug it in. I was thoroughly pleased with the length as I find I have a hard time making sure I have enough outlets with all the baby products. It was quick to register my item, pair it with Bluetooth and the app was ready to go as soon as this was finished. We played with all the functions and speeds before we placed our newborn in the bassinet to get a feel for how it moved. I’m thoroughly pleased at the speed and transition between different movements, it doesn’t feel jerky or jarring at all. My infant really loves the car ride and wave motions. The bassinet also has different sounds, volumes, as well as vibration! My 2 month old absolutely loves this bassinet, she’s always been a fan of car rides and white noise... so being able to control her motion, vibration and have her white noise is just my perfect recipe for sleep! She easily calms down and enjoys the soothing motion, and this helps free up my arms when I am laying my two year old down. I’m also thankful that the sides are mesh so I can see her easily and know there’s good airflow. I think that it is awesome that it can be controlled by your phone because buttons are very attractive to my toddler, so I turn the control panel facing the wall and I can still easily control it. This bassinet truly is a miracle worker, as I have used it while babysitting my friends daughter who has colic. It immediately put her to sleep and she slept the longest stretch to date in this bassinet. My only complaint with this bassinet is that I’ve noticed when I turn it off, there is a humming like vibration sound for about two minutes. As a stay at home mom my sleep, and my children’s sleep is so important. This product has made my nights and nap times nearly tear and hassle free for me and my family! So easy to set up and use!

This sleep bassinet is so easy to set up! I love that it collapses, making it easy to store but that there is only the bassinet, pad, and legs (along with another piece that came in a separate box) to store when you aren't using it. The bassinet is also very easy to get connected to the app on your phone and get the settings going. It's quiet and so handy. I also like that it doesn't take as much room next to my bed. A great bassinet!

Everyone gets {safe} sleep!

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing this bassinet! It has been a lifesaver for me with my newborn. The first day we used this, which was the day my little one came home from the hospital, my husband said "I love this thing!" more than once and he is usually entirely indifferent to baby products as long as they get the job done.
The multiple settings for movement are great, my little one seems to like the "car ride" one the best at night, but I like that there are other options to help soothe if the usual setting doesn't do the trick. I love that this incorporates the movement of more upright baby soothers into a bassinet that follows safe sleep guidelines, I feel completely comfortable having baby girl sleep for nights and naps in the bassinet without my mama heart worrying! I love the mesh sides as well to calm my mama worries, I can roll over and look through the side of the bassinet to check on her anytime. I get a little nervous with newborn safety when I'm sleeping sometimes so the ease of checking on the baby is a major plus for me.
The app that goes with the bassinet is great for night time soothing so I can change the setting from my phone and set a timer to have the movement turn off after I fall asleep or just so I don't forget to turn it off during the day. Another plus of the app is being able to control the bassinet without drawing attention to the control panel--my toddler figured out how to turn on the movement so it's nice to have another option for control that also gives the option of putting the on-unit controls out of reach of older siblings. Love it all!

A bassinet for better sleep

I love everything about this beautifully designed bassinet!!! This bassinet has helped my 2 month old and I get some much needed sleep. This mamaRoo sleep provides and awesome and safe sleep environment for my baby. It has a nice firm and flat surface as well as mesh sides for breathability and allows you to see your little ones sleeping soundly. I love all the 5 unique movement and speed options as well as the built in noise machine and vibration. It’s also designed beautifully and blends in with the decor of my house. Another great feature is the ability to connect the bassinet to your phone using the 4moms app. Through the app you can change any of the setting as well as set a timer. We also love the adjustable height that is easy to adjust. It was very easy to assemble. I received the mamaRoo sleep bassinet through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
