Great idea poor execution

It worked great for one night though I’m not sure it actually helped my baby sleep better so I can’t really speak to that. Turned it on the 2nd night and it made a loud grinding noise and a high pitch squeal. The following morning it wouldn’t turn on at all. After reading several other reviews with similar complaints I decided to return and get something more reliable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Saved our sleep

We’re currently about 5 nights into having this bassinet. Before we bought it, our 1 month old was waking up every 1-2 hours to “feed” - sometimes truly breastfeeding, sometimes just seeking comfort. We were exhausted by this sleep pattern, and pretty desperate for some z’s. The first couple nights with the sleep bassinet, I think our 1 month old was getting used to it, and sleep was somewhat similar. But from the 3rd night on, our lives have changed! He has slept 5 and then 4 hour stretches - giving us some really solid sleep. It seems like the sleep bassinet (on car ride, level 3 speed, with vibrate and white noise, with our baby swaddled) has cut out the comfort awakenings - now, when our little one wakes up, it’s truly because he’s hungry. And, now his parents have the energy to take better care of him. We are very grateful for this bassinet!!

It works!

My husband is a pediatrician, so we really wanted a safe sleep solution that also helped us get more sleep. When it became clear that our second child was also going to be a bad sleeper (our first woke up every 2 hours for the first 6 months of life!), we knew we needed some help. We were thrilled that 4moms had just released a bassinet, and got on the list right away, but we’re super skeptical that it would help our bad sleeper, who was waking up every hour after midnight many nights. Less than a week in, we have gone from 4-5 night feedings to 2! It also reduces the amount of time we spend putting him to sleep. I’m still shocked it worked, but our little guy seemed to just need a little extra help staying asleep between sleep cycles. That being said, I do think there are a few negatives if you want a balanced perspective. The vibrate setting sometimes makes a loud noise if baby is not in the bassinet, so you have to turn it off before you get baby out and wait until baby is back in the bassinet before turning it on. This is slightly annoying, as one of the greatest features is being to turn it on from your phone while finishing up nursing before getting up to put baby down. I also agree with reviews that say that the mattress seems flimsy- it has to be minimal for sleep requirements of course but it does seem extra thin. It also seems excessive to charge $15 for an extra sheet when it only comes with one- it’s so hard to find time to wash and dry it when baby is not asleep! Everything else is great- thanks 4moms!

Not all it’s cracked up to be

The bassinet has been in use for 2 months and it started to randomly stop throughout the night. It also is a very abrupt stop which sometimes wakes my child! Also, the volume NEVER worked from day one so she doesn’t get the benefit of the white noise, rain, waves etc. ALSO! The app constantly has issues with not being able to connect to the bassinet. Many times I have tried to either turn it on or off via app and wanted that feature so I don’t have to get out of bed constantly .. wishful thinking. After spending $350 you would think the product would have some longevity but sadly it does not. It was super easy to set up (that was a plus) and it is a very modern and beautiful piece (compared to other bassinets) but it is not worth it in my Opinion. You’re paying for the look with an OKAY function. 4 moms truly just wanted to run and put this out before lots of other companies do.

Overall AMAZING!

My baby has been sleeping in her bassinet since we arrived from the hospital. We also have the mamaroo and we love it as well. The bassinet is a must have for all new moms I feel it definitely helps and soothes baby right to sleep. My baby has 0 problems going right back to sleep after feedings. I absolutely love it and recommend it. Now I do have a few things that did/do bug me. The sound of the bassinet is a bit noisy but I understand it's the motor, we turn on the white noise and that helps a lot. It also has a clicking/knocking sound at the beginning, I had to jiggle the basket around to make it got away, but I noticed as my baby got heavier it started going away. Now the clicking is gone! :) Those are the only 2 things that I was annoyed about but to me it was not such a big deal.

Waste of money

Waste of mone, save yourself your hard earned cash and buy a average bassinet. The app only works 10 percent of the time. My baby could care less about most of the features, so it goes unused, she even threw up a couple of times because of the motions. It's about as useless as the snoo, and just a gimmick to make new parents think it'll make their lives easier, trust me it doesn't. Once in a blue moon your baby will be satisfied, is it really worth that? Plus the matress pad is way to firm and my baby found it very uncomfortable, I had to place a blanket underneath the pad to make it more comfy. I know my baby needs a flat surface, but that thing is just a cheap piece of foam.
