State is pathetic

The Missouri State step-by-step return is barely able to handle anything out of the ordinary without switching to forms. Year after year it is an aggravation, that costs me HOURS of time. This year, it couldn't even do the final review, because there is no way to mark Missouri "done".

Turbo Tax is Awesome ... AGAIN!!!

Turbo Tax was easy to use and I love being guided to put in information and/or come back later and being able to select what section to work on. I also like the Information feature and that it takes you to or gives you extra information...very helpful for understanding taxes more.

my taxes was accepted then rejected

my taxes were rejected last week. there was a program update and now i was allowed to refile. my refund was decreased $400..not sure why. there was no explanation. at this point, if i went to a tax professional it would probably cost me that amount to have it done. include the amount that i have invested in TT , I am not happy and question if i will use TT again. Been using TT for years. My husband went part time,,that's the only thing that changed.... would have been great if TT had given me an explanation ...

Turbotax needs some work

They still insist on using a small window instead of full screen mode.
They still do not have a check box at the beginning of some sections where I can say answer all questions the same, like I will input my data instead of download.
I was asked 3 times for the activation code, your software protection needs work, if I can install it on 5 computers, why do I continually have to enter the activation code?
I've used this product for over 15 years, I may try something else next year!

Deduction reduction not explained

The child deduction went from 2,000 last year to 500 this year with no reason given.

Reliable product for many years

TurboTax remains an effective, user-friendly tool for personal tax preparation. I've used it for years with a variety of circumstances (sole bread-winner, joint bread-winner, kids in college, retired...) and it has worked well. A circumstances are chronically confusing (e.g., ESOP and stock options, college expenses and 529 Plan distributions, etc.), but as a rule works well.

Turbo Tax works great but the free state file is very misleading. You only get to complete the state return for free and then you have to pay $25 to file it. That is not FREE!
