The TurboTax program needs to be more informative

When I tried to download my 1099-B and 1099-R forms from my investment company, the program told me to enter my investment account LoginID and Password, which I did. But I kept on receiving an error message telling me that the TurboTax program did not recognize my Login or Password. So, I called my investment company and received the help I needed to download my documents. What I was told is the TurboTax program does not recognize a LoginID or Password that exceeds 19 characters or special characters like $ or % or #. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT IF THE ERROR MESSAGE INCLUDED THIS TYPE OF INFORMATION ABOUT LOGINS AND/OR PASSWORDS, SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO "BLOW A GASKET" TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. YOU NEED TO DO A BETTER JOB OF INFORMATION SHARING TO AVOID CONFUSION.

I have used Turbo Tax for years! I always did the long paper trail by hand until I discovered Turbo Tax years ago. I haved used it for business and just self and they have all been extremely user friendly! So easy! I made the mistake of trying another program once and it only took once to learn my lesson!

I spent 2 days trying to resolve error 5639

I have used Turbo Tax for many years but in the past 3 years I have had to spend way to many hours trying to resolve issues like error 5639 and I'm tired of putting up with this. I will be moving to another platform that does a better job of testing the product before selling it.
