Problem with Form 1116

I have problems with filling in Form 1116. When my Federal taxes were denied, twice, I started from scratch and redid everything. I also paid another $25 to electronically send my CA return. The "Fixit' for this form was worthless.

TurboTax is nearly perfect,

I would have rated 5 stars except for the fact that they charge more to download a 2nd state than they charge for the Fed program that includes one state to start. I only need one state per return (I file for a relative who lives in a different state than me) so that I could purchase a 2nd copy of the complete Fed and one free state for less than they charge for a 2nd state, but one year I tried this I discovered that it's impossible to install a 2nd copy on the same PC, even after un-installing the 1st copy! I'd need a separate computer, and that's just not worth it.
