Turbo Tax for Mac is the Best!

Been using way before Turbo purchased "Mac-n-Tax" This program was first developed on The Mac just as was the Office Suite (Excel and Word) was before Microsoft Bought it! The best programs have always been developed on a Mac. That why they are used by top professionals and music and film directors. And TV Too. (look at a set sometime and all you will see are Mac Books! So, of course, Turbo Tax for the Mac is the best ever!

Turbotaz sucks horribly!

This year with every update my computer did it kept taking my key to activate using all 5 downloads I have for 1 return. I also added audit defense and it took my money but with an update it popped up saying it didn't go through but yet they took my money. Then when checking the wheres my refund for federal since I filed it early and waited on my state there is no recollection of it with the IRS. Its been 2 weeks and I am still waiting for it to pop up from outer space so I can actually get my refund since everything has already been paid for. I have used turbotax since 2005 and next year will be using other software for my family and I.

Great product

Been using since the late 70's without an issue. Much improvement over a rather expensive tax professional that screwed up returns two years running leading to audits. No such experience with Turbo Tax. Very easy and reliable.

Not as Good as it Used to Be

In general I found Turbo Tax Deluxe 2020 to be OK for doing taxes myself from home. Some of the explanations under "learn more" e.g. the one for Colorado special districts didn't help much. Also I made a couple mistakes and went back to correct them, but it took a couple times doing the same correction for Turbo Tax to update the refund information. And there were a couple new things - the $300 credit for cash contributions to charitable organizations when taking the standard deduction and the Stimulus Rebate Credit if not all the stimulus money had been received that were hard to find if you wanted to review or edit them. I was going to pay to E-File my state return, but ran into a snag where I couldn't log on to my account. I had written down the information so I'm sure I was entering the right info, but no luck. It was such an irritation that I just chose not to spend the $25 to E-File the state return.
