turbotax needs some work

Great Tax Preparation Software

I have used Turbo Tax for 20+ years and have found it easy to use and extremely accurate. I have never had a problem with filing or with IRS not accepting our return. Thanks for yer great job year after year to the folks at Intuit.

love TurboTax, but 2020 is mediocre (Deluxe CD)

Have been using TT product for decades. This is the first year I am not happy with the product. It has bugs in my opinion. The program does not remember where I stopped. The program does not walk me through all sections. It skips steps and I had to go back to find missing sections. Good thing I knew what I was looking for. At one point it stuck on the loop asking me a question and saying that I could skip it, if I wanted. but would not have "skip" option. It found error during check and took me directly to forms with "a value should be here" note. There I was in the middle of the form without any idea what the value is and how to arrive at it. Another error brought me to "value too big" for this line... The value in the cell was ZERO. so I was supposed to figure out a negative value to enter without any help or direction...

Fraudulent return Filed

I tried to recover my dad's last year return from last year to get the correct AGI and there was another account that wasn't his connected to his information.We were never able to get the info because the recovery email was linked to whoever that other person is. Turbo Tax should pick up on duplicate SSN before they are allowed to register accounts. The return was rejected by the IRS but we're stuck without the info needed to complete this Years return.
