Very bad experience this year!

I had planned to file my taxes weeks ago, but had to keep waiting as form 4684 was delayed from being released 3 times. I finally just removed it from my filing and I guess I'll have to file an amendment to my return later on. I understand that the IRS made some last minute changes to the form, but it's been published on their website for 3 weeks. There's no excuse for Turbotax to not have it tested and implemented in the software by now.

Turbo Tax surprised me!

The added $40. cost for direct deposit of tax returns had no forewarning. Additional information was required then not allowed to completely undo. I changed the direct deposit to "mail check". E-file said "Federal", but it said both tax returns were filed. I didn't have a chance to do the same for my state return. I expect this will still cost $60. I've used Turbotax as far back as I can remember. It has always been easy and seamless. I'm VERY disappointed in the "new e-filing" process. It's not only costly, but it implies my state return was e-filed too, and with direct deposit not changed to "mail check". I expect I will be looking for something/some way other than TurboTax for 2021 tax prep.
