I have been using TurboTax since 1988. Even though my situation is somewhat complex, I have found that TT is easy to navigate and always accurate.

I have used Turbo Tax for years, and I have never had an issue until this year. Your system, changes you made, links to your pages to pay the state filing fee were a nightmare. I never write reviews but I could not ignore how horrible this experience was. And normally I ask for you to walk me through everything, and yet, I had to enter and review each subject on my own. Highly disappointed!

First time using this

First time I used this software to file taxes. It was quick and easy, just entered all my information and less than 2 hours I was finished. I recommend this software.

Terrible. Error in program added an extra 3 hours

Error would not let me submit my taxes. It said "Accrued market discount should not be 0. Enter amount disallowed under was sale rules..." but it wouldn't let me change the values! After researching everywhere I finally figured out how to fix it but had to go through thousands of transactions to find specific ones to manually delete the values under 49 cents to zero. Tedious and a time waste! Will not be using turbo tax again. Would like a refund for my time wasted fixing this problem which should not have existed in the first place.

Hey I know you already gave us money, but we need more in order to efile for your state, even though your state won't charge us a thing to E-file. Terrible business platform!

Not so great when my tax return was rejected

My California tax return was rejected for 2020 tax year (I used Turbotax for my tax return in my past 5 years as well and this was the first rejection I got and I didn't any complaint until recently). The TurboTax showed me what happened and what to do but it wasn't enough for me to re-file my tax return with confidence. The good thing was TurboTax just told me that I would just need to update TurboTax after a date indicated by the Turbotax and would re-submit. but it wasn't clear how I can know the TurboTax update was really installed on my PC, what was wrong exactly in my tax return and why it went wrong. So, it would be great if it can show me how I can check the update is installed on my PC. Also, it would be great if I can know more details of the rejection.
