Turbo Tax Purchaser continuous sinc3 1987

Originally by Chip Soft then sold to Intuit, Ive have used exclusively Turbo Tax with confidence. I've tried other software (purchased at least 2 years worth ) and ran parallel comparing results and overall ease and graphical layout.

New Hidden Fees

The product allowed me the convenience of filing electronically. This can potentially save me time and receive my refund faster. However, I was not warned that, in addition to paying for the sotftware licenses (both federal and for each state I file in) I would ALSO have to pay a fee for transferring the information. In total, this increased my bill $80. I was under the impression that I would only be paying for hte software license and that would be it. In fact, that's how the software had worked in previous years. These "transmission fees" are hidden, becuase I only learn about them when I am finished printing, setting up my information to make the electronic filing (e.g. bank account info, driver's license #), and then I am informed. It's a legal, but unethical practice to only inform the client of fees until he has done all the steps before receiving a service. I decided to used the service, but strongly encourage anyone to be warned: THERE ARE HIDDEN FEES.

Quick and easy way to file your taxes

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. It is quick, accurate and reliable. The one time I didn't use Turbo Tax, I had an old computer and it wasn't compatible with the software, I used a tax preparation service. It seemed like I did all the work and they billed me 5 times what it would have cost me with Turbo Tax. Well not if I would have had to add the cost of a new computer.

Turbo Tax Had a built in error

Turbo tax had an error built in when purchased with RSUs (Restricted Stock Units). Caused IRS to reject return. I don't have and never have had RSUs. It was easy to fix but in disconcerting that it even existed. Caused tax returning to be filed a day later than needed and thus delayed my refund
