Program offers to walk user through every step or allow one to select income and deduction information to include; valuable when one has more experience filing tax returns and using Turbotax in subsequent years.

TurboTax gets lost going in circles

I have been using TurboTax for over 20 years - and this ranks as my poorest experience. I found the software awkward - and it frequently got lost in loops that were difficult to break. The help function was very poor - unable to find help - needed to find my own way out. For example - it did not add my itemized deductions and demanded I file with a Standard Deduction - took quite a while to reboot the program to get it to recognize the error.

Worst Experience with Turbo Tax in 20 years

I've been using Turbo Tax for at least 20 years and this year was horrendous. While I'm sure I will use it again next year, the Turbo Tax dialogue was so confusing this year. Example: We owed the IRS for money. I selected E-file (which I do every year), I picked 4/4/20 as the date to debit our account. The button on the bottom of the screen said "CONTINUE", so I did. I printed the normal forms I always print and the button the bottom said to continue to E-file. So I did. The next dialogue box said Great, you're all filed and the IRS should process in two days... What happened to the 4/4/2020 date I selected??? Not a big deal, but I wasn't impressed with their software this year. Sorry.

Unable to efile - again this year

While using turbo tax is a nice way to complete a return, for some reason I was unable to efile it again this year. They say the AGI was not correct but it is exactly what was filed by mail last year. Frustrating and once again I've paid to efile the state and can't.
